This may be difficult to quantify but I do often wonder how much influence all the porn we've watched has affected the way we think about and approach sexual interactions.

The law around choking needs to change as a lot of deaths are occurring due to this. I read about a case last week that was sent to the Attorney General for a sentencing review as the guy got 5 years jail time when he choked a woman during sex and then woke up the next day to find her unresponsive. The sad thing about the case was that the lenient sentence was partially due to a former sexual partner of the woman confirming that she used to ask him to choke her.   I concur with what you’ve said in that a lot of woman ask for rough sex, one I am talking to in particular has asked me to yank her hair and fuck her roughly.

I am open to a lot of things but I would never put my hands around another women’s throat.  Porn has definitely contributed to this over excessive use of force to dominate a person during intercourse.

Few people think for themselves. If they see something done in the media - and porn is incredibly pervasive - they start to see it as the done thing. Never underestimate the power of fashion. Where did all those beards come from? What about the guys with pigtails like Japanese samurai?
