Since early on I was recommended to use a punting watch, a cheap watch that I wouldn't mind losing. The punting watch is indispensable for me as it paces my punts, and importantly has saved me from being short-timed.

But then I had a few punts where girls have invented "no watches allowed" rules, presumably so they can short-time me without it being noticed. Granted, these few punts all ended up being shit, so such a rule is probably a good indicator of a control-freak or short-timer which warrants saving my money and walking away.

Just curious, has anyone else run into this?

Offline The0neAnd0nly

Never had a no watch rule.... alternatively could it be because the SPs were worried about a spy cam or something built into a watch?  I know these exist in certain glasses that can be purchased and no I'm not a creep or have a spy watch or glasses!!

Offline WelshClipper

Most of my punts are with reliable well established SPs who aren't clock watchers. They are usually 1 hr + and I have a good body clock that invariably tells me when its time to check the time.

If I go for a half hour P&D then I am more interested in the fuck than how long I stay. Once I have filled the bag it is often me who initiates the "closing procedures" and I am out the door at 25 minutes

Online mr.bluesky

I have never come across this before but I have been to some fbsm places where there has been a clock on the wall and they all seem to be running 10 minutes fast so if you book an hour you only get 50 minutes going by their clock  :unknown:

Offline standardpostage

Never encountered a no watches rule.
Maybe it should be on the "Enjoys" list as discretionary". Only joking  :)
Could be that it is only used in certain parts of the country,
or by certain nationality's ?
Must admit, I've not worn a watch for many a year now.
Just use my phones for knowing the times.

I've worn a watch since I was about 8 years old, never been asked to take it off by a WG.

Offline Buttons

If an SP told me I couldn’t wear my watch, I’d politely say no and then walk on principal if she tried to insist.

Fuck’s it got to do with them if I keep my watch on or not.

Never experienced this but if I did I would be suspicious. Most girls will want you out pronto and short time you. And when you have the raging horn it's virtually impossible to keep time without device.
Considering I only last a couple of minutes if all goes well, I like to pace myself so I thoroughly enjoy my 15 minute appointments. This would be the only reason I keep a watch.
I think everyone should time their appointment and make the SP aware that you are doing so.

Same here, never heard. I also never wear watches and simply get an eye on my smartphone when/if I need to check time. (Usually not that much as I tend to have long bookings)

Is that hand smaller than t’other due to reduced blood flow?
At 8year old you must have had a big paper round to afford and look old enough to punt.  :sarcastic:

True, my colleague on one of our trips to FKK in Germany wore a watch with a spy cam & was able to record all his sessions  :D :D :D

So I understand if thats the reason for banning watches as they may have a cam.

Also in the same FKK some fit stunner tried to cancel my session after she noticed that my Apple watch was set to monitor the session  :D :D :D I just assured her it was not an issue of trust - her reply was leave the time keeping to me

In all watches help, as stated earlier at a massage place I noticed the clock was 10 mins ahead too & they gave some bullshit excuse when I asked why, but its the same clock they look at when saying " we don't have much time left " such a scam me thinks.

First time I’ve ever heard about a “no watch” policy... not come across it before at all.

I have left my watch at a previous regular’s place and forgotten it once or twice, but just collected it on the next visit.  It was as you say though “a punting watch”, not one that I’d want to lose, but not an expensive or sentimental one either.

Offline Fugly

As far as I recall any punting venue that I've ever been in with a prominent clock has always been set to UK +10mins - isn't that a punting given a bit like the stated-age +10 years rule?

The start of every punt I ever have follows the same model: I shower first THEN I hand over the loot.  As I hand over the loot, I re-state the services that I requested, the duration that I booked and finally I say "it's ten past four" or whatever, just to let her know I'm "aware". I've only been short-timed by a Tom a handful of times in fifteen years (I've legged it early after draining my spuds quite a few times but that's on my terms, not hers).
This is a financial transaction after all - money in exchange for time/services.

The only scenarios that mess with my system are knocking shops, where there's no clocks anywhere, the Tom disappears with the loot for 10 mins before we get going and the maid invariably gives the 5 min knock at least 5, sometimes even 10 mins early, so I tend to avoid them (unless there's someone I REALLY want to see there)

Could be due to hidden cameras. Two different escorts I saw mentioned hidden cameras in different bookings and when I was being nosey on Saafe around summer last year I saw a thread about the same thing. Obviously may not be the case, but could be.

Just a quick search on Amazon you'll see all kinds of hidden cams, from pens, key rings to suit buttons - unless they plan to strip you naked and put your belongings in a locker or box, hidden cams are not limited to just watches.

I've heard of no watchers allowed - especially for car meets etc.   That seems more logical to me, than wristwatches not allowed ?

I wonder what they'd say if you rocked up with a sundial and positioned it near the window.  Would be funny for the shits and giggles if nothing else.

I've found most Chinese and Thai massage places I've been to have a wall clock, to the extent that I normally keep an eye on it now and put my watch away. As long as we are both measuring an hour by the same timepiece it matters little if it's in its own time zone. I suppose it could run fast, but that would be difficult to arrange.

Offline JAYZ

If anything I'm usually the one clock watching because I'm often bound by tight deadlines. For the most part though I haven't experienced this and the last Russian lady I saw asked me to stay longer as I was the last person she would see before flying back to Russia. This was pre-pandemic of course.

Offline NickyBobby

Never experienced the no watch policy, but I have experienced the wall clock set 5 or 10 minutes fast policy

Never heard of this — either spycam watches or no watch rules. I thought maybe the p4p was worried about a big clunky watch that could accidentally cause injury but paranoia over watch cams is a bit sad. Sad that punters would use them, especially today in a world of heightened sensitivity about such things.

A cheap simple watch should never cause offence. In fact it can be used to glance at the time quite openly at the start, noting out loud the time at the start and saying that gives us until x (being the time after an hour or half hour). Won’t stop a determined short-changer but at least gives you an edge.

News to me too. No one seems to have ever come across this problem.
And even if someone had one, it would be VERY obvious that it was being used for illegal purposes.
If there's a problem, just put in in a pocket. Problem solved.

If there was music playing she could have judged it by that, when the track a particular track starts she knows you're xx mins in.

... it be because the SPs were worried about a spy cam
In one case, I think so since she also made me put it away.

In the other cases I could keep it, but wasn't allowed to use the stopwatch function. Both were known to short-time customers.

All were Romanian. The punts were negatives, so I'll probably just walk if I get that again. But I'll be more discrete in its usage.

Alternatively, if they had clocks on their walls (that didn't cheat time), I'd just use those. But so few have clocks.

I thought this was too specific and would out myself, so I left this detail out. But they were all reviewed as negatives for shite service though.

I looked into it further, on the iWatch, in the watch app on the phone, you can set the iWatch and iPhone to mirror aero mode.  So if you set it on one, it sets it on the other if they're in bluetooth range.

Otherwise the watch still does bluetooth with the phone, hence calls happen on the watch despite the watch being in aero mode.

Thanks for the tip, I went into the General settings on the iWatch App and enabled Airplane Mode - as stated enabling Aero Mode on the iWatch enabled it for both devices.

I’ve come across this scam too. Try insisting on either the clock for start and finish times or the watch and suddenly her number of English words can be counted on one hand. At one, the lights get turned down irrespective of adjustments and the clock is only visible when she’s finished. Any timers are mysteriously in sync with her ‘kicking out time’.

We’re on slightly firmer ground with Geylang knock-shops and friendliness with the male come-inside receptionista.

I only wear a very basic watch to a session — but on the inside of the wrist, which makes it easier to see.

In my opinion it's definately to do with secretly filming nothing to do with timing of the booking. Slightly off topic, but a few weeks ago I had a booking and the guy had the strangest looking glasses on, maybe it was a fashion statement  :unknown:, anyway I am convinced they were  suspicious and secretly filming. Praying I don't appear on xhamster.

I know the type of glasses your talking about, used to have a pair a few years back.  Bought them to see how good they were, and would suit what I wanted them for.  Poor footage to what I'm used to, with other cameras for cycling, and memory not that big

The camera is hidden, in the glasses just above the bridge of your nose, and unless you know what your looking for, you wont suspect anything

Yes there is such a thing. They are quite chunky, nice for tourism when it's not practical to hold a camera. Investigative reporting has used them as well to expose criminals. There's no justification for an honest punter to do that any more than walking out without paying. It's the sort of stuff that will understandably make p4ps more paranoid and spoil their attitude for the rest of us.

I would suggest challenging the guy and asking to have a look at them. See if there is a concealed mini-USB port. If he doesn't let you look, then explain the concern.

Maybe some guys starting out think it's reasonable. I don't. I think it's a horrible invasion of privacy. Years ago before everything found its way online, some p4ps, especially abroad, were happy to have their photo taken for private enjoyment, especially if they were promised a copy (easy to do with a small travel printer). Nowadays it's strictly something that involves extra payment and only if offered.

p.s. challenging at least sorts it out one way or the other. You can't go blacklisting him just on suspicion. He might just like being a geek. These glasses for instance could be dodgy but probably aren't...

Offline Fugly

And here you have real real deal.  Unisex, HD camera concealed in the bridge immediately above the guy's nose.  Aperture so small that unless you're super suspicious, you probs wouldn't even check.

Here's some clues for our SP members:

As well as being middle-aged, fat and ugly I'm also a speccy twat.  I take my specs off when I see a girl and I'm really short sighted. I can't really see that much if it's any more than 10" away but I still take 'em off, 'cos they get in the way during sex.

Study his eyes.  If they look small, he's short-sighted like me.  If he's got huge Owl eyes then he's long-sighted.
If his eyes are normal-size behind the glass then it's probs plain glass. if his rims are super thick it might be worth checking his specs out.  It can be done playfully - a number of girls have nicked my specs and put 'em on at the start of the punt as an ice-breaker
