Just wondering if the car park behind Roses is free, or if there is decent on road parking around the back ?

Yep its free and you can park on the side road as well.

i always park on the main road about 50 yards up or about 100 yards down the road

Plenty of side roads as well. I’ve never used the car park right at the back, but no issues with nearby roads.

I always used to park on the main road, but now always find somewhere at the back.
For some reason I always feel funny about the car park - looks to much like a Parking Eye trap, but am told it's fine and free.
