Does anyone else think Sheffield has become a punting wasteland?

It’s never had a great reputation but good god it’s horrendous right now! Lots of long timers seem to have disappeared due to covid only to be replaced by Romanians and Romanians pretending to be Brazilian.

What does everyone else think?

It really is. I've only been punting in Sheffield since about 2017 but even in that short time the quality of SPs has gone notably downhill whilst the rates have only gone up.

When I started there was usually always a good selection of non-roms (Brits, poles, Spanish etc) to pick from. And the going rate was usually 60 for 30 minutes. Now that's the low end of the range and even shit rommies are charging upwards of 70 to 80 quid for 30 mins.

I've found that I prefer going to massage providers for HE and B2B as they still have mostly reasonable rates and they're rarely rommies. But even some massage places are  beginning to take the piss now... *cough* Muang *cough*

I think Sheffield has been poor for punting for years now. Keep hoping for some decent touring lasses to come round but they very very rarely do. I too end up just going for a massage and HE.

It makes me very melancholic to think about the demise and what once was but now isnt.

But yes - there's very little quality to be had. I'm sure there will be a post-Covid bounce over the next 12 months or so because Sheffield is far from the only city to have suffered and I think things are artificially bad because of the Covid-effect.

I was. Back in the days of the original Sheffield Scene bulletin board. Before it became a forum etc.

Back then the creator of this forum Nic would bang on and on and on some more about how bad Sheffield was. It really was t anywhere near as fire as he made out. But it’s shocking now.

I'd agree with that period, there were loads of decent parlours and indies around. Today, on the surface there seems to be plenty on offer, but on closer examination or visits it fails to deliver.  Leeds is worse though.

In my view Sheffield’s heyday was mid 90’s had some cracking times . To many to list , but I think your right . Those that are left that are British are not exactly top class .

It's certainly challenging to find a good punt in recent years. I visit Sheffield on business a few times a year, admittedly I prefer outcall, but usually end up importing a girl to travel from from Leeds or Manchester for a longer booking. Nobody currently in Sheffield on my HL, a shame, would make it a lot easier (and cheaper!)

I started casting my net wider about 5 years ago. As we know one of the best things about Sheffield punting is the parlours. A lot of those have closed, can't hold onto good escorts or have become increasingly expensive, but not above indie levels. Sheffield never had a good agency scene or TS scene. I honestly think outside London businessmen on weekend trips agencies are a thing of the past.

I've only seen one Romanian and that was at Pandora's. I'm not against seeing other ones. The Polish scene has pretty much dried up everywhere. Not into Brazillians. Romanians and Hungarians pretending they are Spanish, Latin, French, Italian etc is nothing new. Trust there was loads of crap British providers around 10 years ago. People's favourites retire that's the nature of this industry. Leeds isn't that much better at the minute with many overpriced new escorts, the usual fake webcam only posing as escorts and even a few pump and dump at London agency prices.

Sheffield was "OK" during the noughties, but from around 2010 onwards it has progressively got worse, for a pump and dump there is First Class, Honeypot and Diplomat all close together, but looking for anything decent above and beyond the basics makes for grim reading.

I moved back up here 2 years ago and dont think it will ever improve, fortunately I regularly drive up and down the M1 and i find the odd one offs in Milton Keynes that come and go

I’m in total agreement. It’s been decking pre pandemic for a number of years but seems to have bottomed out since things started re-opening. It’s not just the choice and service but also the reliability and timekeeping…. Anyway it doesn’t stop me from trying!!

Just a thought on the old supply v demand thing: are there as many punters around just now?
We obviously focus on the availability of the lasses, which is in plain view, but have the punters gone to ground since covid, which wouldn't be as obvious to us.
If there are in fact far fewer punters, could that explain why the supply is drying up?

When I first started about 10 years ago all I ever read was people moaning about how Sheffield had gone down hill back then and I was like a kid in a candy shop couldn't see why people where moaning lmao. Now I'm in with that crowd it really has gone down hill or maybe I have just become jaded.

Where's the best places for you?  Manchester isn't too bad (not great either) and it's an hour train journey so when I'm in Sheffield (business traveller) that's what I've tended to do.

I try to get an outcaller to visit, but always end up on a plan B at a massage parlour or paradise (haven't been recently though... wonder how that's faired post covid).

Manchester took a hit a while back - some fantastic establishments were hit by the authorities & closed down: TWL & Buntys, The Toucan, Sandys Supersars (of course) and a lesser known place but a real 'anything goes' traditional den of iniquity & depravity - a real proper 'brothel'  - TJs. And Arabesque went to the wall too - though that was a place with something of a colourful reputation.... but they were all places that were real crowd-pleasers... There isnt really anywhere of solid gold standing now in Manchester either.

To be honest - I think Sheffield and Manchester are now much of a muchness and I'm not sure any city or yown can hold itself out as being a punters paradise any longer. The venues and the girls with national reputations are largely a thing of the past.

Covid was undoubtedly the nail in the coffin but I'm hopeful that there might be a bit of a resurrection... once the economy gets firing on all 4 cylinders and with some hardship thrown in coupled with girls realising there is good money to be made again and potentially local authorities with more on their plate to deal with - then maybe we will get back to the good old bad old days

 i travel to the area for work and have always found some acceptable company (see my feedback ) but the number and reliability seems to have dropped off badly since covid ..

World famous babes and  Sandys was good parlours Sheffield had some good parlours too but they all gone
