Another possible explanation is that he was trying to get his old feedback back. About 3 years ago my AW profile was hacked. Don't know how or who by....must have been a hotel hotspot sniffing thing as I only tend to use it at home on a secure VM or in the hotel I'm staying in. AW didn't want to know when I reported it. The person changed my name and my password, and presumably used up the rest of my credits. Bastard!
As they changed my name, I was able to create a new one with the same name, then sent a few emails to a few of the regular wgs I had seen in the past, explained the situation, and asked if they would leave me new feedback. Most did, and also to their credit, most didn't want feedback left FOR them again as they still had the original stuff under my old / hacked account.
Not necessarily saying this is the case in this instance, but covering the bases in case it's something like that.
