I really don't get why some WGs have such a vendetta against this forum. If they provide a good service, their profile is accurate and they are generally just good then attracting positive reviews will arguably mean more business and therefore more money for them. It's only the scammers/crappy service providers who have to be annoyed.

They are also allowed to become members on this forum and comment so it's not as if this is a closed off men's club.

They probably don't want their "business" being put out on the net for all to see. One review on here can lead to links to people that may know them in real life or can easily ID them and their anonymity goes down the drain. Members here are far more meticulous in research and perspective than members on other review sites or platforms. AW reviews are worth piss and you cannot ID anything from the info, agency review sites are the same. I have a feeling some of them have an idea in their head they can discretely sell pussy and no one will know and they can keep all areas of their life intact...Like those movies where you see a professional woman moonlighting as something else like some secret agent and no one knows. There are more legitimate reasons for WGs wanting to avoid UKP discussion.

To name one: Privacy and control. From a WG's email: "Should I delete my AW profile, all proof of me being a sex worker would vanish, but what is written about me on UKPunting would remain. What is written about me on there could be damaging in a professional, familial or social context and could cause issues when travelling. As far as I'm aware, they refuse to remove information about previous sex workers once they retire."

Perhaps a courtsey of optionally hiding reviews should be extended to retired WGs. These reviews don't directly help current punters. But they are still good for showing the reviewer's tastes, which may help with interpreting later reviews.

Payyourwaymate - just saw your edit. I think that's exactly what they want, a secret identity that can be flushed down the memory hole when convenient. But the nature of the internet means this sort of perfect privacy is impossible. But UKP already has some compromises, some privacy-protecting policies. They have changed over time e.g. no more posting verification pics, or hidden gallery pics.
