Watched this last night on channel 5, it's available on catchup and well worth a watch.
I vaguely remembered the case from about 2004 and at the time thought the 14 year old lad (at the time of the murder) sounded like absolute scum and deserved to be put in prison for the minimum 20 years he got.
Now i'm always sceptical about these "Rough justice" type documentaries as they basically set out to prove / disprove something so I always wonder if there is a bias in how or what they show,
However in this case while the lad that got put away was into a few weird practices it appears the police have majorly fucked up by not pursuing others suspects as they had this lad down as guilty from the start, our beloved free press then also convicted him by trial by media
