I know the termas's can be pricey, but I was cashed up and thought fuck it, so I mainly frequented cuatro por cuatro and I always tried to get there before 6pm so the 50 real entry fee is wavered. The deal is, for those who haven't been to one - you go in, you get shown to a locker room where an attendant gives you a pair of flip flops and a dressing gown, you are also given a numbered key by reception of which you give the number everytime you make a purchase, beer, crisps, girls, no money is exchanged on the floor, you pay at reception when you leave. Upon entering 4x4 it's basically set up like a bar/nightclub, with a stage and a couple of poles. There are usually between 15 and 30/40 girls there depending on how busy it is. I have to say I have never seen an ugly chick in there, some with right "prostitute" faces who just look fierce, but not ugly - if you know what i mean. They all walk around in bikinis and G strings with ridiculous high heels on. I fucking love the place. Equally I can't think of a bad experience I've had in 4x4, I went in 2008 and loved it, again in 2012 and was still loving it. i had some mediocre punts, but most were above average. Speaking Portuguese obviously helped a lot but most of the girls were always very accommodating and friendly and were pretty much up for anything - a couple of times they charged extra if I wanted something specific, which I thought to be normal. But 260 reis - 130 dollars - 70 quid for an absolute porno looking bubble butted dusky brazilian chick....still value for money in my book. One of the things that did annoy me though was go there often enough, and often the girls you've fucked before automatically come over to you and try to cock block you from the other girls, and one actually got stroppy with me when I said I didn't want to fuck her that afternoon but try somebody new - and she was like "did I not please you last time?" acting all hurt, which got on my nerves.
Vila Mimosa
just quickly this place is like fucking disneyland for latina whores, it's a lot smaller than I thought with most of the shops stretched out along the block, lots of favela funk music blaring from neon lit bars and girls walking around single or in pairs wearing almost fuck all. It's not for the faint hearted, nothing but locals go to this place, and there are plenty of groups of drunk brazilian dudes just there to watch the pussy who can get quite rowdy. If you don't speak portuguese best not to go alone - in fact I went alone the first time and just felt like prey, managed to find another punter at the place I was staying the second time and it still felt a bit uneasy. There were some total stunners there though, big latin asses everywhere from light olive skinned through to dark brown - tremendous amount of pussy. Think I ended up paying between 60 - 80 reis for most girls which included the room, which was a dive - service varied from shite to unexpectedly good. Phone numbers, as ever, were easy to get. Best to get a taxi from Praca Onze station, walking around there is probably ill advised.
Balcony Bar
balcony bar is open from about 10am to 3am or something every day, and is situated along the beachfront near that big white regal looking hotel in Copacabana. It's pretty much the only bar along there that looks lively at night. Tons of girls hanging around. All the girls are hookers, even the posh looking ones. When I was in there a couple of young guys from one of the hostels were in there getting quite freaked out by the hookers saying "I'm not interested in your services" to the girls, i felt like telling them to fuck off. I mean, seriously, who the fuck doesn't know about balcony bar, Rio is the kind of place you should research before you go.
