Author Topic: Trafficked girls. A warning.  (Read 3006 times)

Channel 4. "Taken - hunting the sex traffickers"

I am not here to preach. I have seen a couple of Romanians (many years ago) that I suspect were trafficked.
Young and stupid (me, not them).

If any of you are thinking of visiting the influx of Brazilian girls, I'd watch this first.
Not so much from a "you'll get caught" side of things, but more so to open your eyes on what is really happening.
It is many many years since I decided to see only girls that are clearly local / UK / agency girls etc.

I'm not going to reply to this thread as we are all capable of making our own decisions. Just watch this programme to arm you with evidence to help you reach your decisions.

I have to admit, I  saw my first ever Brazillian the other week and this was a nagging concern at the back of my mind, although I didn't see any evidence of anything untoward. In any case, I'll be sticking to the local talent from now on.

We do have to accept that coercion control is part of the sex industry, and be aware of the possibility that anyone (even 'locals' and 'agency girls') can be subject to it. I always try to tread carefully and avoid any situation that has a hint of something not right about it, but maybe I'm just kidding myself about my detective capabilities.

I'll give the program a watch. Thanks for the info.

It happens but the media have always portrayed the industry as still being stuck in the streetwalker/junkie era and all punters and bastards. I'll take whatever shit they spew with a very large pinch of salt.

The South American girls I've seen are all here of their own volition, even if some have chosen someone else to sort out their accommodation.

There's already a topic on this subject in the main forum.

If you felt this way, you neglected to mention it in your review.  It's not something I'd choose to leave out.

The thread in question.

Very true, but that doesn't mean that trafficking isn't still a problem.

I think you may have misinterpreted what I was saying. I'm aware that there is a strong connection between Brazilian girls and trafficking, so that's why it was in the back of my mind; that's all. If I had thought there was anything untoward going on in this case I'd never have gone ahead with the punt.

Of course it's a problem, but I've never noticed anything to suggest that it's specifically a Brazilian issue.  Far from it. That's coming from someone who's punted several hundred Brazilians and fuck knows how many other South Americans.

Once again, not to say it doesn't happen, but it's not something I've ever come across.  What's far more likely is the media are desperate to portray us all as complete reprobates.

I certainly don't trust the Government with even more power than they already have, which is where this is going.

I don't think anyone is suggesting that. It's a worldwide issue, in different degrees.

I'm still constantly amazed at the number of people in government, and other positions of power, who want to, and believe they can, effectively shut down the industry, THey are either extraordinarily naive or just plain  fucking stupid. It's not called 'the oldest profession' for nothing. Increased government regulation will just drive things underground and make issues like trafficking even worse. It's just like their pitiful 'war on drugs; they never have a hope of winning, but they just can't comprehend their own inadequacy and lack of imagination.

The people behind this "programme" seem to be.

They could actually enforce all of this but that would make the country, hell, and far worse for everyone, in every sense. It'd be nice if the *cultists gave this some thought before they sell us all down the river.

Reply #6 and #15 in the above thread cover it.

YouTube videos of red light district streets in places like Brazil and Columbia show how many good looking curvy girls are eager to make money but it’s sure to be peanuts so you can see the appeal to get to Europe. I don’t believe for a second many of them get here off thier own backs. The chances of affording it and speaking enough English make it highly unlikely.

From what I’ve seen so far the documentary doesn’t vilify the punter or the sex business. It’s the criminality of illegal earnings, illegal immigration and concern for the girls welfare under scrutiny.

It is fine coming and touring (they will be mostly seasoned WGs) but they might end up trapped in a bad cycle, and see a fraction of the money they expected.

Anyone who thinks there isn’t pretty serious behind the scenes string pulling and organisation (for accommodation/AW ad’s/arranging transport is kidding themselves.

That's it now, I'm no longer seeing anymore Brazilians after reading those threads and watching the program.  Shame as the ones I recently visited were good.  Just don't feel comfortable seeing them now.

There seems to be 3 type of organised groups.
One where the girls are allowed a lot of freedom to go out and about.
One where they are allowed freedom with restrictions (no medical care allowed).
One where there is no freedom to leave the premises they are in.

It will depend who is running the group to which rules the girls have.

The police and Chalmers are aware of the issues.

I haven't watched this yet but surely this isnt a problem just restricted to brazillians?

Crazy to think that stuff like this still goes on in modern society.

Yet you choose to support establishments such as saunas? Which basically is the fluffy format for trafficking

Kudos x3....Oh no, wait a minute...  What a load of absolute pish (much like your other posts). Go and explain to me how the two British girls I've seen in saunas were 'trafficed'? Better still, explain how sauna owners are involved in trafficking.

Anyway, it's Sunday morning; shouldn't you be at church praying for two brain cells to rub together?

Kudos - 3.

Don't be fucking silly. The saunas are regularly checked by the feds.

What next? You sound like a very sensitive soul.

You clearly either didn't read my answer to that question or didn't understand it. Either way it just shows you up as a bit of a pillock and I'll not be wasting any more time on you.
