Hi all, hope you're well. Will be my first Edinburgh punt on Thursday, should I go for a sauna or book a tried and tested AW girl? Very intrigued by the sauna and have read enough threads on here to learn how they work roughly but wanted the opinions of seasoned Edinburgh punters on what's best at the minute.

If it's the "best" you're after, go Independent. However, you're intrigued by the saunas, so perhaps you should tick them off the to do list.

I don't use them anymore as they're a pale imitation of themselves, even 10 years ago. There's only 3 or 4 worth a fuck these days.

Thanks mate. I am intrigued and would like to do it but am worried about a) prying eyes going in and b) paying and not liking any of the girls.

The saunas have been around for a very long time; the locals lost interest a long, long time ago.

Only ever happened to me once in my sauna visiting years. Just pay for 1/2 hour when you go in. If you don't like the look of anyone you've only lost 20 quid; if you want to stay longer you can pay more.

Don't know about the others, but LSS refunded me a few times. I did go there far more than the others though. The selection has been dire in everyone I've been to, in the past 5 years. Not to say there isn't still the odd gem.

As for walking out of the place. Just wear shades and you'll be invisible.

Are you and Edinburgh man yourself? I've had a look and Lizzie and Alana both looked the best to me. Any independent gems?

Only Carol's, which seem to be undergoing a bit of post-covid revival. Recent reviews are worth checking out.

I'm in Edinburgh. NNF's last review was negative, but the girl he reviewed is considered a good punt. I haven't seen her.

I have my eye's on a Brazilian this week (for a change). She's just come through from Weegie-land.

Best bet is to have a look on aw and see if anything takes your fancy, then check up on here for information.

I don't punt much in Edinburgh these days. As Matrix says, my last encounter with Alanna didn't go so well, but I'd still recommend her as an alternative to a sauna visit.

alanna worked the saunas for about 10 years. your observation that the locals dont go to the saunas is preposterous.

saunas are all on fairly reduced staff at the moment, and are all much of a muchness, marginally ahead is the new town sauna, in terms of staff numbers, looks service etc, plus discreet entrance,

about 10 % of girls on aw are ex sauna girls, and more than one current sauna girl has moved back from aw, the idea that you find a better quality of girl on aw, is often repeated, but i dont see why leaving a sauna, moving to a flat, putting your prices up, is of any real benefit to the average punter, i accept there might be a difference with a tourer. i started my punting career visiting girls in the flats, but rarely bother these days. this very day i spotted an irish lady on aw, who used to work in london st, 10 years ago, she is now charging 100 for 30 minutes, she calls herself jessibele or something similiar, she is a good punt but not at that price

Thanks for the input guys, ended up trying out one of the saunas and absolutely loved it. Went back again later in the same day. Something about it just clicked with me I guess. Needless to say I will be back and will of course be reviewing the girls on here soon.

I think I need to work up the balls to give the saunas a shot. It would be nice to be able to get an idea of who's working though.

I think shopping on AW for a punt has become an engrained part of my routine

... Perhaps some surprise would spice things up!

Can't wait for covid to fuck off so I can get to germany and fuck my way through the saunas over there though... They sound like paradise compared to what we have!

As a first timer I had the same concerns bud but walked the street first and then went for a pint before trying for real. Needn't have bothered because as the gentleman above stated, no-one gave a flying f*ck on the street!
