Only wishing re the selfie crowd
The base ticket prices were about cat C @ 200 / cat B @ 500 & cat A @ 900
So naturally the uplift on the resale websites starts from a higher than usual base
Was pondering going purely as a one off but had a load of people coming round & didn't wanna disappoint
I'm thinking 2k ish & am i actually gonna get in
With the benefit of hindsight should have made an effort to go see the macth against zee germans
For the final even the hospitality tickets @ €6,000 were sold out
Must be all the MPs receiving hospitality, at a price which is well well over the accepted bribery act threshold
Which will be brushed under the carpet
Ouch. With just 140K signatures I'd reckon only a tiny number of those were at the match - if any! So wishing people who were there a shit time is a bit naff.
I didn't pay that for my ticket I can tell you! But if people did then so what? Face value of bog standard tickets at €500+ so of course there's an inflated market for a one-off, possibly once in a lifetime opportunity, to see England at Wembley in a bloody final!!!! One or two kicks separated us from glory, though of course we should have done better in the match itself. The atmosphere in London and in the ground was brilliant, the Covid precautions non-existent, security invisible but I saw no fighting, no forced entry - I guess those who forced their way in headed for the lower tiers. I also learned a new song about a certain Man U defender but apparently it has been a thing for years. It won't win an Ivor Novello award.
