Hey fellow OPs, will need your help in deciding if this was actually my fault.  Anyway, I had planned to see this WG at 9am on Friday morning. I rang the evening before, and we exchanged texts, she seemed lovely and friendly.

Messaged again in the morning to say I was on my way as it was a 45+ minute drive (loads of traffic when entering Croydon). I ring at 5 minutes to saying there’s a lot of traffic and the sat nav says 19 mins away, I won’t be long and we can change from 45 mins to 30 mins. She seems ok at telling me to come anyway, and not too upset with the situation. I finally arrive, park up, pay for parking, and wow. The level of rudeness is actually shocking me.

I understand I was 21 minutes late, but I receive a text saying “thanks for wasting my morning” “don’t fukcing call this number again” (I should have saved the texts) but I was genuinely quite taken aback. I’m responding apologising explaining that I’m here now. And all I receive is “I have other clients...(blah blah more rudeness)”

We’re going back and forth then she rings me saying “this is just business I’m not being rude” “don’t call this number again”

I’ll be honest with you I was absolutely livid after driving all that way, and to be spoken to like that as well was really making me angry. It was a huge same as I chose to see her based on Mtaylors review. I was thinking hang on, if we were supposed to be meeting for 45 mins initially, and you’re getting this upset, did you literally have another booking at 10am? Maybe - or who knows?

Now be honest; was this all completely my fault for being late?

You were at fault for being late BUT......there is no excuse for the level of rudeness experienced.

A negative was appropriate. In future leave a bit more time to get to a punt especially if the booking is for under an hour

My opinion, it happens to all of us from time to time - but, she should have said you can have 30 minutes and you would still have finished on time. I doubt she had another appointment at 10.00, nobody's that busy presently and even if she did you'd still be within the timeframe.

Sounds to me like she just had the strop on, and probably in hindsight may have done you a favour anyway.

Offline Young_gent14

Yeah I guess that’s true both, thanks for the advice

And you’re right I think she was just pissed off with me. Saved myself some cash for next time I suppose!

You may be right but if I was given a bet i'd say she did have a back to back booking. If he was 21 minutes late and hadn't yet entered the flat I can understand why she would cancel but there is still no excuse for the rudeness.

As a point of information. Last week I went for a 10am appointemt at my local massge shop which opens at 9am. I was amazed that both girls had 9am and 10am appointments and when I left there was a punter in the waiting area. Like you I thought that business was slow at the minute. Maybe my one time experience was not representative.

Having seen her video with Pascal I really don't think she's my type.
I wonder how much she got paid for that?
Apparently Soho Scarlett went with him as well but I never found that video.

One mistake you made, as soon as your nav tells you you're going to be late you should've texted/called her and clarified if she's still able to do the full time if you start late, might've surfaced her attitude sooner and saved you some of the trip.

Given she's working in Croydon it is almost certain she deals with a whole shitload of timewasters and difficult punters so her rudeness is understandable even if you didn't deserve it.

Better luck with the next one.

I saw Polish Sara in Croydon recently (reviewed) and she said she would never work there again due to the amount of time wasters. So agree with the poster who said she just categorised you as such. No excuse for the abuse though.

Offline Maverick1808

I’d say you’re at fault here OP.

If you only let her know 5 minutes before the booking that you was another 19 minutes away then thats not great on your part. You would have known well before that time that you were running late.

I’ve been late to many punts due to traffic but have always let them know at least 45 minutes before a punt, all sat navs have an estimated arrival time. I’ve never had a single issue with being late, I’ve shortened my meet once but the others i had my full time.

Yes I agree with you here.  Being late happens to the best of us.  I think the SP probably thought that she was dealing with a timewaster when he asked to reduce the time from 45 mins to 30 mins.

Agreed fair enough gents...in my defence (not that I have a very strong one!!  :unknown:) I would say I was driving and on the motorway for a lot of it so didn’t really want to pull over to message/call and delay even further. But 100% should have been better from me!  :hi:

Offline beemer44

Shame, no need for the abuse but she probably backs punters up and you being late would’ve had a knock on effect.  I’ve thought about revisiting but after this I will give it a miss.

Of course OP its a different story when they are running late, or they get to the hotel after being delayed on the motorway, Or you are fobbed off that the cleaners are in the corridor.
Yes you could have phoned her more promptley but these things happen to all of us at some stage or other. She had no reason to be that shitty to you IMO.
A genuine mistake that could have been mutually resolved quite easily.

...cleaners in the corridor   it’s actually awful that I’ve had that excuse before!

Exactly thanks mate...it was a genuine mistake on my part, I just don’t personally think being 21/2 minutes late warranted as much abuse as I received..

Emilia...as you’re reading, how about you post our conversation with timestamps to “prove” I’m lying?

Unfortunately I deleted the messages as it was on my punting phone...

The basic problem here is the stupidity of arranging a 09:00 punt in a traffic hell-hole like Croydon.

I find Croydon a nightmare. If I do punt there, its always by train and bus if necessary. Most arent that far from the station if I visit.

Croydon’s a shit hold at the best of times. I read somewhere it’s got more cctv than New York

I would catch a tram if I were going there (Not that often). Lot safer they now employ drivers who suffer from insomnia.

Can you imagine explaining to the OH why you were on a tram accident in Croydon. Think I'd claim concussion - dont remember the last 24 hours love :D :D
