Sorry she wasted your time. Clearly got bumped for a longer booking. I do have some sympathy for her point that you didn't confirm after post code, but there is no misunderstanding for the second wave of conversation from 7.50pm. Clearly bumped.
I feel your frustration. Not only wasted your time, but radio silence. A weak excuse would have even been better.

- She offered you a slot 30 minutes later but probably didn't even read your confirmation and was busy with her 8pm booking. 

You finish by saying "you could have given me an hour notice that the booking won't take place".  Which booking? The one that was never confirmed? Or the one where you were already there at around 8pm, and you wanted an hour notice that your 8:30pm booking won't be taking place, which would involve a time machine as my maths makes the difference 30 minutes.

I’m very weary of some of the recent back and forth in other threads. I’ll just say this, I respectfully still stand by my comments and reasonings for sticking up for this negative review. I have nothing against this SP and have intentions of seeing her when she is around London again.

I agree that after she shared the postcode she should have asked you if you wanted to make a booking. Her bad. However, she didn't and you made an assumption based on your expectation built on previous experiences. I get that and that's why I said I understand your perspective and have empathy for it since I've been there. However, although I am no lawyer, I would be surprised if any would agree that a contract has been made.

If the SP is crap with how she confirms appointment then the punter needs to make an effort to get that. It's about getting to desired outcome and avoiding disappointment.

Well the exact analogy would be that they didn't deliver his food..and he was going to pay cash on the door (pre covid era  )..so lost nothing but time. And due to how the food looks on the menu pics, he fancies ordering again and eating in spite of his previous let down.

A very apt analogy. Couldn’t have said it better myself. 

Reviews aren’t self advise books which punters have to follow. They allow people to be aware so they can make there’re own judgement call. This review was also a teachable moment for the SP as she has now updated her profile with clearer instructions, in theory she should now at least have better comms.
