Adultwork - Unable to send messages

Has anyone ever had a problem on Adultwork where all messages sent are automatically deleted.
I've tried emailing 4 different profiles, one of which I've never contacted before. I find it very hard to believe that they have all blocked my account.

Tried to contact them via their help pages but even that message doesn't get through either, very frustating!

Aw's in shit order at the moment (see my recent post)  . The sooner someone brings out a similar site which actually fucking works the better 
I'd settle for the same number of scammers etc, because we can weed those out here  between us, if only these basic things (don't get me started on the search facility  where one character or space not exactly correct means no result ) actualy fucking WORKED 

There has got to be someone out there who can see the golden opportunity here. Hasn't there?

The search facility on AW is amazing, best I've seen on any site - so many different options and ways of searching. Sure, the text search part isn't perfect, but we've all been spoiled by how good Google is at that. It's not easy to have a decent text search on a site, unless you're someone like Amazon with plenty of cash to throw at the problem.

That is very true, don't think I have ever come across a search facility that is so poor in that regard.  Also the only one where when I'm on my phone pressing enter does not start the search, you have to log out of the keyboard and press the search button. Very irritating.

The fact that this aspect of the search facility is so bad is one of the main reasons why UKP took over from Cunternet. FR's would give the name of a girl, but couldn't post links so punters had to try to find the girl in question using AW's truly lamentable search facility, and would fail.  Every time.
UKP allowed the posting of AW links and look what has happened.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again - we only use AW because there is not, as yet, a viable alternative.

It seems to work for me --------------- but I mainly access it via my PC and not a mobile phone.

That's because it's doing an exact phrase search. If you type "busty anal whore" it searches for that, not anything containing those three words. Just pick one thing you know is definitely in her profile name e.g. "anal" and search by region. You'll get a handful of profiles back at most. Not rocket science.

So learn from that bollocks and contact WGs who have phone numbers. A/W has NO interest in helping punters, just making money for the low lifes that own it.

Its a classic example of where having little real regulation with teeth and a monopoly position is bad for the user in my view.

I tend to agree. Is AW perfect? No, but it's easily the best at what it does.

It also doesn't claim to be punter orientated (unlike prossienet) so it has to try and tread the middle ground. If it was geared 100% to the punter (say enforcing full verification, compulsory face pictures and phone numbers, etc.) then you just wouldn't get a lot of prossies advertising there.

It is also a business and they have a duty to themselves. They want to make money and I don't have a problem with that.

The same way it makes me smile when AW haters talk shit about the site I guess.   I'm no fanboy, they're just a business trying to make money. If someone came along and made a better site, I'd be there in a flash. In the mean time, I've fucked over 100 women I would never have found without AW, so I'm pretty damn glad it exists.

That's the problem, I don't think you have any idea how much work it would be to put together a site like this. On the software side, you'd need a decent team of devs working for quite a while just to put together something with the current functionality, let alone improve upon it all of its flaws.

Then you've got to find a company willing to host such a "dodgy" site, who are still reliable enough to ensure that the site isn't down every 5 minutes. Then you pay a shitload for servers, and protection from all the DDOS attacks that a site like AW inevitably attracts.

Then after all that, you've still got to convince people to use the site. What punter is going to bother searching a site with no prossies on it? What prossie is going to bother putting up a profile on a site with no punters? It's the same problem as Facebook, it's damn near impossible to crack a monopoly like that.

Believe me, if this was as easy as you think, someone would have done it already.

Contacted adultwork again today, though via their mobile site and received a response pretty quickly. They didn't elaborate on what the issue was or a possible cause but it has now been resolved.
