I obviously don't know the reason, but there were two officers that approached a car on foot that had just pulled up at a roundabout, and from what i could see instructed them to pull onto the roundabout and up on the kerb to one side.  they then coned the car off and started up a conversation with them 'from a safe distance' through the driver's window.  Looked like a random stop / search job, and the woman in the car was obviously oblivious to the reason (or at least acted that way).  i only gawped about 30 seconds of this before i was on my way, but as i say it looked like a premeditated approach by the cops rather than reactive.

I'm making an assumption based on what i saw.  You're right that it might not have been thus... but then again it might.

It’s a risk and not one I’d be prepared to take as it’d be hard to explain why I was 100 miles away from where I lived to my loved ones if booked by the police. While it’s unlikely to get stoped at random for being out of area but if I got copped for another traffic offence then I’m nicked both ways.
