Sad situation this.

Saw Kate in her place for a half hour punt, had a good time.

Then booked her for an hour outcall at my place. Made the (admittedly stupid) mistake of paying £140 in advance.

That night she contacted to say her mum had been taken ill, and she couldn't come (fair enough right?) . She asked for my bank details to send a refund. Details went to her, no refund forthcoming. That was over a month ago.

Since then she's been phone and WhatsApp screening me. Obviously I feel daft, but she seemed really genuine and not a scammer. Lesson learned, and a warning for punters dealing with her in future.

Happened to me late last year also. Sympathise with you, it's not just the money it's being robbed/scammed. The sp messaged me saying she was skint and rent was due, I forwarded a booking fee and of course it never took place, said she would transfer money back, didn't happen either. She has now bunked off AW. Chin up your not the only one.

I met her also for half hour and as you say she came across genuine and nice and I would have made a return visit also but cheers for the warning it does help and I’ve been in that situation sent money when I shouldn’t have... we live and learn.

A review would have been invaluable in this case, might have stopped the OP getting fleeced as well.

Has the OP been fleeced though, I've asked him twice while he's been online how much he paid and got no reply. He even posted a comment after I first asked so can't say he hasn't seen it.

I went to a rented apartment near Byres Road, which was temp. So no way of coming around to hers.

I have emailed, whatsapp'd and called, to no avail, including AW messages.

For privacy deleted the WhatsApp messages and emails, so no SNs of them, sorry.

Get a cheap PAYG phone - message her for an appointment, get the address and ask for your money or a free 1hr ! LOL

Strange, I saw her end of last year and she was working out of her own flat, her partner knows what she does so can't see why she would need a rented flat.

Never give up, maybe email her, with a polite message asking why she still hasn't refunded you.  Mention your sorry about her mum taking ill, and hope she is now better

Ask to meet some place in public, and you even let her keep £40 of the money, so your willing to accept £100 refund,and you wish this to end on good terms

i am surprised you giving this advice, had you down as someone with a bit of life experience, there is no possibility of him getting his money back with this approach, he has 2 choices, go to the police, or get even,that doesnt mean violence,  this girl will have ripped off and scammed others over the years, and will continue forever, its part of their dna.

I dont know how the op previously responded, and as for scamming punters, I only see two scams, one being the op, and the other one being jakesnake884, if there are others please let us know

As for being scammed my self, yes I have, but well before we had, and the girl worked in a sauna, and borrow £50, which i found many years later was for her hash.  I was polite with her, and new when I was at the sauna, but I was seeing another girl, she had money.  I knew I wouldn't get my £50 back in one go, so she agreed to give me £20, and the rest later, which she did

i was making a general point, a con man or a scammer, never does it once or twice, so only 2 scams are on this thread, but i would put my life savings that she has done it before, and will do it again.

Hey Mags - if you are actually Kateyand (I notice this is your only post and you registered yesterday) , get in touch, you know where I am, and I'll be happy to post a correction if I get my money back, i dont hold grudges.

Otherwise I assure you, I'm not some angry punter with a grudge against WGs. As far as I'm concerned its an honest way to earn a living. But stealing isn't, that has no dignity whatsoever. I'm afraid people oughtnt get away with it scot free.

If the SP had changed her mind about the punt, fair play thats her perogative. But a refund is the minimum I'd expect then. Yes I was daft paying in advance, but sadly there is no "other side" sob story in this case that makes it okay.

We need to keep in mind we are all paying for a service. It is a job for 100% of the WGs and for most it’s a job that they dislike doing.

You're quite right...thing is most of the working population are in jobs they don't like doing. However, if they get caught stealing from their workplace/clients etc...they get sacked.

It means SPs have to make their working names known, it doesn't mean they have to make them public. As long as they make it known to Head1, Admin or a mod they have satisfied the requirements under the rules.

That’s how it was with old admin but I’m forgetting the changeover and things will be slightly different. I agree with Clatty that it looks open to interpretation.
