Apologies in advance if I've overstepped the mark and please delete the thread if so. I did check the rules, in particular #11 but wasn't entirely sure.

As I grow that bit older, now in my 50's I've began to get a bit more drawn to the kinkier side of things. Maybe being not quite as fit and able as I was in my younger days has made the mind come more to the forefront of my sexual thinking, I don't know.

So I've noticed this Fetlife mentioned a few times and a search on here doesn't throw up too much other than it being more of a shared interest group rather than any type of meeting place.

Again sorry if I've misread the rules but should it stand any advice from members on there?

Most of the rules of other swinger sites apply:  If you are in a couple with a hot babe and you can attend events together then most likely you can hook up.  If you are a 25 year old stud, there is a fair chance you can hook up.  Otherwise, it is a long shot.  No events until we sort out this virus, clearly.

That's pretty much exactly what it is. Think of it as Facebook for people into kink.

If you'd like to explore, I'd suggest checking Fetlife to see if there are any local kink meetups ("munches"). These are usually strictly social-only, no "play"! The idea being that you get to meet with like-minded folk and socialise in a relaxed but kink-friendly atmosphere. There are sometimes talks, workshops, trade shows, etc. too.

Obviously, the current pandemic means that most in-person activities are on hold, or have gone virtual-only.

Make some friends and demonstrate that you're not a serial killer, and who knows what doors may open up.

I did not enjoy fetlife due to some of the moderators . They tended to take on the role of white knights protecting any new female members, which sounds decent enough , but means they can come after you if they think you're making any progress with said females .

You have confirmed what I suspected, if something looks too good to be true then it normally is.

Old geezers like myself are better sticking to paid services such as the London Retreat, probably cheaper in the long run.

I have been on FetLife for a few years and can confirm what everyone else has said. It is no guarantee of a hook-up, but presents opportunities to make connections that lead to them. I have had a couple of hook-ups and attended a few orgies through the site, but if you want guaranteed success, you may want to seek out other sites that don't require such patient build up.
