I enjoyed watching the first few series of Not Going Out but I am not keen on the latest ones with him now married with kids. It just seems like any other family themed sitcom . It's very much like Ricky Gervais comedy Extras. Funny when it first came out but not so funny when he went from being an extra to having his own series. I do think Lee Mack is very funny when he does stand up comedy.

Have you noticed how since they've been married she's had short dark hair so she looks less hot - and therefore it's more believable she'd be married to him .. ? Not that I've got a big thing for her.

Time they had some new comedies that were actually funny. I'll be watching a repeat of Del and Rodney do Batman and Robin I reckon.

Merry Christmas UKPnuts!  :drinks:

That is good news..... always found it hilarious.
It's certainly a good cash cow for Lee Mack.
The presentation and soundtrack, (sung by a Frank Sinatra impersonator) seem to give it a USA style a bit like 'Friends',  so I wonder if it's popular over there.

Can recommend Line of Duty wholeheartedly . Brilliantly conceived and written, twists and turns a-plenty, wonderfully acted. Stunningly good.

If you're anything like me, watching on iPlayer meant I just kept watching as one episode ended with a cliffhanger, and the next one started. Stock up with popcorn  ;).

Absolute top quality home-produced drama IMO, which actually genuinely rivals anything produced in the US. Yes, really.

And I hate to say it, but even 'good stuff' you see on TV now, good writers, big budget and all the rest, so frequently features 'hidden messages' and virtue signalling, that my eyes roll over and I just want to turn over. I really hate to say it but it's true. Apart from finding it offensive having it rammed down my throat every five minutes, I find it deeply patronising.

There's no need for it, and Line of Duty is proof of that. From start to finish a seven year run, a diverse cast, no stereotyping, realistic gender balance, no 'point scoring'. Just sheer TV drama joy.

Oh really.
I think it got funnier has the series passes.   ;)

I find that these channels like gold, comedy centre and dave go over the top on repeating the same sitcoms over and over again.
Comedy centre = friends
And etc.
They should mix and change every so often rather than rolling the same sitcom over again.
E4 the worst with this with the big bang theory.
I'm like for God sake put something else on.  :dash: :drinks:

I did watch the 1st series of after life. I did enjoy it. I did find however the 2nd series to be very similar to the 1st so I stopped watching it after episode 2 or 3 of the 2nd series.
The 1st series as I said was OK and I did find a few bits quite funny which is the point.

I did just find out that Bobby Ball who sadly died this year will be appearing in the special episode on the 30th December.  :drinks:

The thing is, these are commercial channels who know about he niche they carve out, they know their target market, and they generate as much advertising revenue as they can.

It's that simple.

It makes it complicated for the consumer of course, you end up trying to keep an eye out on as many channels as possible to catch the stuff you want to watch.

Not Going Out has been good all seasons but was better when Tim Vine was in it, plenty of outake compilations on YouTube if you look.
Line Of Duty season 6 is currently being filmed or has just finished being filmed, I follow Vicky & Martin on Twitter and they have tweeted teasers from filming etc, looking forward to watching the 5/6 episodes hopefully around Easter time. A little known fact is the unknown H is actually the H from Steps

Blimey, I'd never have thought it was him.... That was the last thing on my mind. It would be a tragedy if it is H and it's probably better best forgotten.
I really would hate to think it is him, still, better the devil you know. I won't get angry, I'll try not to stomp my feet, because doing so would only start a chain reaction, here and now. I'm going to finish now, because words are not enough to explain how I feel. I mean at one point, he would light up the world in a nice bright neon blue.
I really hope that H isn't the culprit; but who knows what the future holds!

Did no one realise it was H from Steps in the opening titles of the Bill, that was a big clue
