Thanks for the update CB, appreciate the information.
I'd read that Covid patients in intensive care in Wales are now at their highest since the end of April.
Smart move.

  • From 28 December, you will be advised to stay at home where possible.
You should only mix indoors or outdoors with members of your own household or support bubble.
You should not travel outside your area without a reasonable excuse.
You must work from home if you can. The only exceptions will be critical workers and jobs where working from home is simply not possible.
Tradespeople can work in someone else's private home, as long as it is managed in a safe way and both the worker and household members are well and have no symptoms of coronavirus.
From 18:00 GMT on 25 December bars, restaurants, cafes and pubs will close - except for takeaway and delivery - ahead of the lockdown which begins on 28 December.
After 24 December, all gyms and leisure centres will close, ahead of the lockdown.
From 28 December, tennis courts, golf courses and enclosed pitches will close, but playgrounds will stay open.
Professional sports will continue but stadiums will be closed to fans.
Non-essential shops and close-contact services will close from end of trading on 24 December, ahead of the lockdown which begins on 28 December.

Well back to yet another staying at home vegetating, whilst watching the rain on the window. Or walking around the block about twenty times, for any form of physical exercise with a big umbrella  :scare:

Hadn't thought of an umbrella for fending off the Zombies. I'll replace my cricket bat with that, bit lighter and less conspicuous.
Hang in there, we're nearly out of it. Better than ending up dead or maimed after surviving this long ! It'll only be a few months now 'til we're in a better position. Figuratively, and literally !
:D

TBH, I've learned loads of stuff whilst stuck at home.
Developed much better Shermann technique too - who'da thought it?!  :yahoo:

Sends you a bit loopy, but if you get out and about and look at the sky a few times a week it ain't so bad.
And at least it's in Jan/Feb - not the best months of the year on this island, we ain't going to be missing much by being indoors !

Stargazers are in for a rare treat in the days just head of Christmas, as two of the solar system’s brightest planets, Jupiter and Saturn, engage in a celestial dance that will bring them within planetary kissing distance in the evening sky.

The moment of closest approach arrives on December 21—the winter solstice for those in the Northern Hemisphere and the start of summer for those in the Southern Hemisphere. The two planets will appear closer together than at any time in almost 400 years in an event known as a great conjunction.
