first time i’ve ever sent money before and should if guesses really but because she was english thought i could trust her 😩😩
So...downside, you fell for a scammer. It happens to some of us, came very close to it myself. Lesson: Never, ever send someone who's not traceable and has verifiable recommendations going back a long time, at minimum. Preferably, never send a deposit or loan anyone money. Walk. There are plenty of honest SPs in the world, the majority thankfully. Starve these thieves of funds, thieves who are probably not even using their own photos to reel you in.
BTW, nationality has precisely zero to do with how likely someone is to scam you, unless you get your world view from the Daily Fail. The two who separately tried to scam me were a) English and b) English. We English breed some of the world's top scum, it's a requirement for getting into the top flights of government, public school and middle management.
Remember that. Preferably for your entire life.
Consider it £50 well invested, for a cheap life lesson.
Lesson learned...
Upside: You've a) learned a valuable life lesson about trusting people, without it involving a financially devastating amount, so that's something to be grateful for, b) you've now choked off a large percentage of potential income for a thief, as no one else reading this will go near her, other than to black list her, and c) you've had the integrity and humility to admit your mistake with her to warn off others, for which we all sincerely and collectively thank you.
Well done.
