I'll say, Watts. Occasionally, when I've been at a very loose end, I've had a little look on Saffe. It must be the most boring, whingeing, depressing Message Board on the internet.
Indeed. With any forum that is just women it tends to get a bit like that. With p4ps more so.
On the question of having p4ps on here at all, I suppose I should have mentioned, for the sake of members who haven't been on here long enough to become half worn out part of the furniture, that
the reason is ultimately a practical one: it is easier to let them on here and keep a lid on them than to 'ban' them and have them sign on as 'punters' out of sheer bloody-mindedness. At least that was old admin's point and although I don't know the present admin-owners nearly so well it is a pretty straightorward administrative thing unless you are going to waste oodles of time and effort cyber-researching every new login.
Last time I had a look on Saffe (is there a reason why we are not spelling it correctly btw?), anyway, it had a vile and abusive notice aimed at anyone from UKP – all of whom are apparently of a certain disgusting 'type'. It really lowered their image a lot.
Of course women, not just p4ps, get to be boring, whingeing, depressing when left in groups on their own, and often rather bitter and anti-men, added to the fact that the woman's brain in most cases can't stick to one subject for more than a short time without changing it and getting irate at anyone who objects (of course some guys are like that as well, but it seems almost universal in women).
Most of us can stand the idea that p4ps need somewhere to 'saffly' let off steam and just leave them to it. A p4p who rants ike an utter stupid cow on saffy may well be the most charming and professional creature for half an hour in the sack. Same for most alcoholics.
Yet they are unable to twig the counterpart for men. "Rochelle" is kind of typical with her little side-swipes ("I never took you for the diplomatic type" she says to me, unable to envisge the fact that I am a delightful punter when the service is good. She might have gleaned the truth from the fact that I have had very friendly relations with several p4ps in the real world (who I don't shag) but chose not to. I have flawless feedback on AW even though that doesn't say much.) My input on UKP, like that of most sensible members, is addressed to men. Not softened down into non-gendered language suitable the cocktail bar of the Sheraton, or the pheremone-aware warmth of the punt. I have little time for punters who choose their words on UKP to appease p4ps. To me that's an abuse (
Commonly known as white-knighting).
