Back on-topic , I'm a widower in my late-60s with no kids and a paid-off mortgage; I've "a bit put aside" for emergencies; I'm pre-paying my funeral and I'm lucky enough to have a works pension as well as my State Pension.  Like Matium said in the thread on "It all mounts up", there's no point in being the richest guy in the cemetery.
