Have an "Work colleague" ( you know sort you have to be freindly with as conected to boss ) who married a Brazilian Bird she is as Mad as a box of Frogs been sectioned and insults all mates and family has left him and returned several times now he puts this all down to cultural diffrences (she scares the shit out of me and others) .

Looking at the original question, I wondered for a moment whether it was about SPs or punters being on the spectrum. Could understand if blokes with Aspergers would use SPs as they often struggle to maintain relationships.
But looking at some comments, I would mention that from experience of a family member with it, Aspergers is not necessarily accompanied by bipolar and if it is not, I have no idea how it might affect an SP’s performance.
Life is not easy for Aspies and we should not mock them. Some are severely affected and cannot live autonomously. Even the high performing ones see the world in a very different way than we do and most of us struggle to understand how and what they think and how they reason simply because they struggle to articulate clearly.
Returning to our past time, it could  be that difficulty in verbal expression and communication would be compensated by above average (oral as opposed to verbal!) skills and performance. But I guess in many cases we would not notice as in many cases there is difficulty in communication by virtue of the SP not having great command of English.
