So tonight its Usyk 226lb V Fury 281lb both at career heaviest but both weighed in fully clothed .Not sure the extra weight will help Furys old legs after the half way point but should be a good one. I still think class will take Usyk to a UD win or even a late stoppage.Just hope there are no dodgy refereeing or iffy scoring like last time when Usky should have got a UD by 115-112 to 117-110 and not a SD.
I'm hoping Usyk knocks him out.
The judges scores in the first fight were a travesty.
Maybe that will shut him up.
BTW old legs?
He's younger than Usyk!

Offline berksboy

Yep i know in years Fury is the younger but hes not lived the life of a top boxer .If Usyk can push it Fury will gas out with all that weight and Usyk may get the KO he should have got first time.

Go Usyk !

Fury was on the receiving end of favourable scoring in both this fight & against Ngannou
On the Ngannou fight the scoring was a shocker
Everyone with a vague understanding of boxing could see that the boxing judges couldn't bring themselves to let a MMA fighter win

People praising Fury for talking about his battle overcoming mental health issues
Its so in vogue talking about personal battles, bless  :dash:
He still has a way to go coz he thinks he lost to Usyk because of the war in Ukraine

As for his gyppo bollox it gives a voice to those who are the scurge of society, wonderful ... not
Given that he's british i would normally want a victory however given what he's like the way he goes on fingers crossed for an Usyk victory
Usyk has class with the way he conducts himself
The main reason why Tyson's had the success he has is because of his physical size like 6'9" & massive reach
If Usyk & Fury were similarly sized IMO Fury wouldnt risk getting in the ring he wouldn't last more than a few rounds

Only a re match if Fury wins as they would be  1 - 1 , if Usyk wins he is 2-0 so no need for a re match. And re matching is far from new , Patterson and Johansson had 3 fights in 1959 , 1960 and 1961 for the Heavyweight title and all 3 fights were won via KO.

So a 2rd master class from Usyk who well deserved his 116-112 win . Fury did do better this time and i do wonder how good he could have been if he took the effort to train properly ? So whats next the battle of the losers , still think Fury will beat AJ and it will be a big pay out for them.

It would be nice if Fury battered AJ which is surely on the cards fight wise.
Fury well beaten yesterday but it's a pity he doesn't have the good grace to accept that, funny to see him saying Usyk never laid a hand on him whilst sporting a black eye  :D

The gypsy bollox circus that goes around with him is tedious, pleased he got beat hopefully hear less from him

I'd like to see AJ Fury the other way round
Maybe it'll happen next year
Along with Usyk / Dubois, Dubois should beat Parker then maybe the Usyk fight later in the year

Feel like Fury boxed not to win but not to lose. A big improvement from the last fight but Usyk was too good.

Fury vs AJ should be good if it ever gets going.

Fury/AJ surely is on the cards a good pay day for 2 losers.

Uysk is just more manoverable but fury OTOH is like a lumbering elephant..

In a way quite well balanced..

I thought that they were a bit matey with each other?, anyway a big boost for morale in the Ukraine:))..

Anyone watch the Bivol-Beterbiev rematch ?
Absolute war.
Such a shame there had to be a loser.
And to think people paid to watch Jake Paul v Tyson.

Offline Problem Child

Aye was some fight mate, no matter what happens in the rematch, it’ll be one of the all time great trilogies.

The whole card was incredible. The Smith-Buatsi fight was probably my favourite of the night.
2 iron-jawed cunts in the pocket throwing bombs at each other. I don’t remember the last time I saw a fight where so many power shots were landed cleanly, yet both stayed on their feet.

Some dubious decisions in a couple of the fights, but that’s boxing I suppose.

Edit: I did pay for the Paul- Tyson fight (got a Netflix subscription), but didn’t watch it. No interest in those kind of fights. If it was happening in my back garden, I wouldn’t even bother opening the blinds..

He was going towards him so revved up that he didnt clock that quite some big security guard he was going up against
Not for long
Just before i'm pretty sure its the bloke who got flattened or his mate [in the white t-shirt] shouting kill kill

There's a link on YT showing an interview with him & he mentioned that things kicking off with the guy & his mates for 5 mins or so inside
& him & the other security managed to get them outside
Maybe Francis was thinking the bloke could go on the attack with anyone who happened to be walking by so stepped out front to provide a buffer
Or that he'd head back to confront the other security easing him outside those around them, who knows

Like with stuff filmed where the police get involved what isnt shown is the build up to whatever then gets online

The twat with the white t-shirt was saying 'why did you do it ?' but wisely didnt do anything to Francis
Why ?  what a tosser - they're causing havoc & they think its perfectly acceptable
I reck white t-shirt man normally wears a wife beater but knew he wouldn't get in

Francis also mentioned that Box Nation very supportive [so they should be]
& people will know not to cause problems in there
So calm as he walked past the flattened tosser then dealt with white t-shirt man & another

I did get the little warning about nothing being posted for 90 days but figured no point in starting a new thread.
I've got a Netflix subscription .
I noticed they were advertising Canelo v Crawford.
Any idea whether this is included in the subscription?
Inoue v Akhmadaliev fight should be a banger as well ( I might even consider paying for that one).

Yeah the Crawford-Canelo fight is included in your regular Netflix subscription.

Should be an absolute belter. I still can’t quite believe it’s actually happening..

Shame it’s in Vegas though. I was in 2 minds about whether to stay up for this, but with the monster fight due to start mid-morning, reckon I’ll get up early on the Sunday (avoid looking at my phone) and watch it then.
Annoyingly nobody seems to have picked up the Inoue fight yet, but wouldn’t be  surprised if it ends up on DAZN.

Re Canelo V Crawford i belive its part of the subscuiption , i sure hope so. They have a 2 part documentary about them thats ok.

As for Tyson V Mayweather are  they that desperate for money  :(

So does anyone think Crawford has a chance tonight?
He was making out in the press conferences that he was gonna stand and trade with Canelo. I wonder if that was a bit of misdirection? The only way I can see a Crawford victory is if he fights a Mayweather fight. Dances round the outside picking off Canelo when the opportunity arises and gets a points victory. Even then he’d have to fight a virtually perfect 12 rounds and hope that Canelo has an off night. I just can’t see that all coming together…

I’m going for Canelo 10th round KO
(Given my history of fight predictions, it will probably be Crawford with an early KO 🙃🙃)

Crawford is an elite fighter, like all time great elite

He won't need to dance around and run away etc. His boxing brain and timing can have Canelo just missing and open for countering.

It should be a great fight, I'm going for Crawford on points

I think this is why it's an interesting fight.
Crawford is faster but he is fighting at a weight way above what he has previously fought at.
Will the extra bulk take the edge off his speed advantage.
Will his punch affect Canelo, who has experience of fighting Kovalev and Bivol.
Looks like we're about to find out.....

I don't think the weight will matter too much, the fight weight will be closer to what Crawford is naturally walking round in when not in camp

If anything, not having to boil down to be massive at his usual weight class, will let Crawford come in carrying a bit more power than usual.

There is also the issue for Canelo of coming down, its harder to come down in weight than it is to go up, within reason

Fantastic fight

Crawford showing he is elite

Canelo showing that he is not quite elite anymore, would still deal with pretty much any other world class fighter in the world though

Nice to see Crawford getting the kudos late in his career .
I did quite fancy him to win but I was starting to doubt myself with all the naysayers touting Canelo .
The judges' scorecards though.........
It was a very tactical fight though and I think a lot of people expecting a war were disappointed.
Also good to see Inoue give an absolute masterclass beating Akhmadaliev and shutting up that arsehole Eddie Hearn in the process.

Offline berksboy

Bud put on a PhD master class and even got the better of it when they went toe to toe. The 2 judges who had it 115 to 113 should never work a fight again.

RIP Ricky Hatton.

Offline Problem Child

Yeah tremendous fight and what a performance by Crawford !
The extra weight doesn’t seem to have slowed him by much, if at all. His footwork was incredible too, always seemed to have his front foot in the dominant position and the few times Canelo  had him cornered, he quickly got out of there.
Fuck me he can take a punch too. That’s why I had Canelo coz of his power. Canelo seemed to be targeting Crawford’s liver early doors and connected a good few power shots to Crawfords right side, but it didn’t seem to affect  Crawford at all. I think it was the end of R2 Canelo landed a clean cross right in crawfords face and it didn’t even wobble him. He just smiled (probably coz he knew for sure at that point the fight was his)

After that even a massive Inoue fan like me has to say Crawford is the lb4lb no 1.

There is also the issue for Canelo of coming down, its harder to come down in weight than it is to go up, within reason

Yeah def Canelo ain’t been the same since dropping down after the Bivol fight. Same thing fucked Roy Jones jr back in the day iirc

I think Inoue could have knocked him out easily in Round 6.
He said that he was finding it hard but he wanted to prove to himself that he could be disciplined and fight conservatively.
IMHO Cardenas gave him the best fight despite being stopped in R7 (besides Donaire of course).

I’ll need to watch it again dude, tbh I can’t really remember it that well, ended up staying later than I intended, so was a bit sleepy with the early rise and was still feeling the effects from my Saturday night..
Can remember the Alvarez/crawford fight clearly , but I have rewatched that.
I just remember thinking that mj was a tough wee bastard and actually maybe managed to win a round or  two. I also remember thinking that Inoue was being a bit more cautious, possibly coz of getting knocked down a couple of times. That’s what we want to see though, dude’s getting up, dusting themselves down, then winning!
Although it is his brain. not ours ..

I watched it and thought they were both kind of cagey in the first two rounds, feeling each other out, but I still think Inoue shaded them on account he was clearly more accurate and active.
From R3 on he gradually was getting more on top and clearly showing MJ was in for a tough night coping with the speed and accuracy of Inoue.
Inoue said himself after the fight he was struggling to control the urge to let go so he obviously felt he had figured MJ out.And
Btw MJ and Eddie Hearn didn't do presser after the fight, speculation being that MJ had to go to the hospital.
Judges scores were 117-111,118-110,118-110. First was a joke. Second and third generous.
IMO if Inoue chooses to go up to 126 and maybe even 130 and fights reasonably cautious no one can live with him.
His speed and footwork are just incredible.
There again Crawford v Canelo judging was ludicrous.

Did anyone stay up to watch the Anthony Joshoa v Jake Paul fight ? I didn't see it but from looking at the round by round commentary description Jake Paul just spent the first five rounds prancing about the ring avoiding getting hit until Joshua cornered him in the sixth round and decked him ( and broke his jaw) .What a farce this fight was. Still I suppose both of them don't care as they return home to count their millions they made from this fight.
