Author Topic: The feminisation of men????  (Read 2921 times)

Online Thephoenix

I was recently reading the post in the general section about how you can tell if a woman has climaxed.
As usual it was a mixture of good advice, bullshit and humour.

Some time later I logged back on to UKP,  but thought I must have moved across to some parallel universe, and instead of UKpunting, I'd logged on to UKpuffters.

Instead of a conversation about women's orgasms, there was post after post about the best perfumes for blokes.
Not just by impressionable young men, but mature hairy arsed punters whose posts I often look forward to.
They were talking about various expensive perfumes that were noticed by women or other men and comparing all the lovely fragrances.

So are modern men being encouraged or even forced to behave the same as women?
Should a man be using moisturiser, expensive perfumes, plucking his eyebrows, dying his hair, getting manicures or even wearing makeup such as foundation or concealer,  and will he become more attractive to women if he does these things?

Is that the message that TV and magazine advertising is giving to men?
Have manufacturers of women's beauty products managed to see the potential of  greater sales by introducing male grooming products and sneaking under the radar to attach themselves to men's psyche, making guys believe that by using their products they will be more attractive to women?

I must admit that this trend has completely passed me by.
Daily showers and good grooming seems to have worked for me.

So I suppose the questions are.....
Are men becoming more feminine and if so why?
Who is influencing these changes? Is it the manufacturers or feminists?
Does using these products improve your attractiveness to women, or is it just a 'phallusy?'

I'm living proof that spending a fortune on fragrance doesn't guarantee that you'll be attractive to women. I wear fragrance because it makes me feel better. About myself, about my day, and if people around me like it, then that's good too.

Helps get through a tube commute too!

I think you will find that hair removal, underwear fetish, etc started in the gay world.

Anti-antiperspirant and shower gel are the only "fragrances" I buy. Was given a bottle of after shave once, tried it then it sat on the shelf for probably 10 years before I finally threw it out.

It dates back to two significant events: Kevin Keegan and his girly hair perm, and Henry Cooper advertising Brut 66.
Those two were bribed by funding from the campaigners of rampant feminism to promote demasculinisation of men.
Also prominent in their project was the commercial promotion of feminised men as role models, for instance the proponents of glam rock - which was simply a sexually subversive campaign to make men believe they should act and dress female

I use moisturiser every day, use an eye cream, I exfoliate weekly and after all of the lockdown hand washing I’ve even started to use hand cream. I wear aftershave everyday too, does all of this make me feminine? No I do it because I want to and I have have followed this routine for over 35 years. I’m in my mid-50’s, I certainly don’t look my age. I view a grooming routine as part of looking after your body in the same way that you might eat healthily and exercise regularly. I do it because I want to look good and not for a woman, I do it for me.

I have dry skin so moisturiser on my face for 30 years, use deodorant and that’s it. I have after shave very rarely use it, the only one I use is an alcohol free one I bought years again in Qatar years ago and that is for one lady who likes it.

No one is being forced, some may be open to suggestions though. My son is in his mid-20s and is well into the male grooming market, expensive aftershaves and all that stuff. He has a partner now but before he did he said it all helped him pull good looking young women. BUT some young women also like the unkempt look as long as the bloke didn't smell.

I didn't contribute to that thread regarding fragrances as that doesn't interest me, Lynx is good enough for me along with ensuring I am clean and even more so in the cock, balls and arse areas as I am looking for WGs to suck and lick them all ideally.

Nobody "bribed" them. Unless you see all payments as bribes. They were just paid in the same way all celebrities have been since the dawn of advertising.

On the matter of the other thread turning from whether girls have climaxes into which pong men like best, I was a bit dumbfounded by that, too. When young I was surrounded by a cloud of cologne. Now I rarely use it. I don't know why. Even more strange, when I do she who must be obeyed doesn't like it.

Of course they were bribed. By the ranks of the militant feminazis who were singleminded in their efforts to achieve global female domination, and the feminisation of all men. Bribed to help undermine the global ethos of masculinity, and to overthrow men from their historically rightful position of being on top

A silly comment. Lavender water and equivalents have existed at gentleman's barbers at least since Victorian times, have had companies that make men's fragrances like Floris, Grossmiths and what became Clive Christian.

Each to their own. I have moisturiesd since I've been a kid, so it's been ingrained in me, to the point where if I do not moisturise it is immediately evident. I also wear fragrances becasue I like to smell good. Of course, compliments pertaining to my softer skin and my acquired smell might often arrive, though this is not why I do both. I take pride in my appearance. But hey, each to their own!

'Enry Cooper advertising cheap fragrance caused women to take men's jobs? I think equality laws and the emphasis on employee care i.e. HR, psychology (mental health services) and legal guidelines (such as awareness courses) played more of a part.

Men are still on top. Most leaders are men and the richest people in the world are largely men. This is down to men not giving birth, largely being more competitive and their obsessiveness towards "hobbies".

With regards third wave feminism like Andrea Dworkin and Germaine Greer the effect it has had has mainly been on making men socially inept around women and arguably the creation of "crazy cat ladies".

If you read the new testament , Christ was partial to bit of high end moisturiser, as long as it was applied by and presumably paid for by mary magadalene, Napoleon was another who liked his aftershave and hot baths, the line im coming home, dont wash, is not actually true. The romans were keen on grooming, have you ever reflected on the origins of the term Barbarians.

I've got a beard that would put most jihads to shame, so never tried aftershave in my life.  Some girls like the rough look, some girls don't, but 100% of paid girls seem to love it.  My past GFs have mentioned that they like manly men, for instance one mentioned that everytime she walked past a building site or work yard, she fantasized about getting dragged in and pumped by them all while they were in their coveralls and boots.  Can't see her pulling a guy with manicured eyebrows anytime soon.

So I suppose the questions are.....
Are men becoming more feminine and if so why?
Who is influencing these changes? Is it the manufacturers or feminists?
Does using these products improve your attractiveness to women, or is it just a 'phallusy?'

OK first I will start off, I moisturise, exfoliate, use fragrance, manscape, diet etc... As I like to look after my body and skin, if I don't it will look like crap I'm simply not having that. I have a soft nature side to myself not a feministic one.

I do get compliments from women for my clear skin, silky beard and nice smell.

- Answers

1, Yes because the media said it is OK to be so, so it's  acceptable now for a man to wear nail varnish.

2, Liberals, feminists, etc...the search for "equality" and wokeness trying to change the narrative of masculinity.
Can't seem to do anything manly in the public eye without throwing the toxic masculinity tag around. Places like Japan and even in the west like Denmark where masculinity is being lost.

The manufacturers are just capitalist jumping aboard whatever is on trend to make money,

3, Yes it does, but not as a main driving point, you actually need to have the personality, be attractive to go with that too.

Also deep down women loves masculine men, men who can lead, men who can build, who are strong etc...not saying you have to be some roided up freak doing manly stuff 24/7 but show the qualities and it's good to have practical skills. You'll be surprised by feministic, woke women who will drop their so called beliefs when approached by a masculine man as I've experienced.

this conversation needs to include the explosion of social media and apps such as instagram etc...

the number of health products and healthy lifestyle users to build a following

waxed chests/legs
groomed to death (more than just a morning shave)
photoshop/touched up images to death

it's big industry...not so much necessarily the feminisation of men but this era's "man's man" isn't rugged, reeking of BO, and handy with DIY

This "feminisation of men", as you put it, has been going on for centuries in many cultures in the form of looking good, smelling good and body adournment both with jewelry, scarification and piercings.

it's always been acceptable for men/women to wear whatever the fuck the want
acceptable or not is only determined by yourself and the people's opinions you allow yourself to care about
