I'm suspecting the majority will be back since it would then be legal for them to do so. Be interesting to see if there are any covid measures. Particularly the face rest thing. I wouldn't fancy stuffing my face on it for an hour when some random dude has had his face on it for an hour just before me.

But has the govt given any massage places guidance?
Mask on the masseure. Wipe everything. Fewer bookings.

Gyms are opening which leaves me confused about the virus in the air threat. Massage places are small and cramped so I'd expect some open windows.

My intention is to take my own (large)towel, not put my face down the hole, then use my towel to shower with at the end :)Hopefully the girl will have taken precautions ie provide sanitiser, wear a mask and possibly wear rubber gloves - sounds quite horny :yahoo:

I'm not sure how you could avoid putting your face down the hole. Only thing I can think of is to cover the hole with a towel and twist your neck to the side. Sounds uncomfortable for the duration of the massage.

How about - their cushion over the hole, your towel over the cushion. Lie further up the table so you're not suffocating in the cushion.

If you take gel, you can always make sure you clean your hands after you leave.

The mask is the problem if they don't wear one. Also the lack of air movement in the small room if they don't have windows. I mean, what about your clothes.

You could go mad trying to think of ways to reduce your risk.

I've just had a legit sports massage this morning while lying on back I had to wear a mask but when flipped over on front and face into the headpiece of the table I found it difficult to get comfortable, I was told I could remove it and did so the table was covered in disposable paper, but had to take own towels to place on the table and sanitize entering and leaving the room.

Thanks. Some massages are more important than others. Was the room aired - I know I bring it up but sounds like they paid attention and air flow is one of the reasons for masking up.

Are we allowed to talk about these places? They're working but we're still on some kind of lockdown.

There was a flow through the room, the precautions seemed a bit OTT at the time of learning about them, but after the visit they made sense.

Spars and massage parlours were legally allowed to reopen from July 13th, so they are not working during lockdown as such, it was those who blatantly ignored, not only guidelines, but the law by continuing to work throughout that were not allowed to be listed.

Noticed the shutters were open and lights on at Serenity Massage in Durham today for first time since well before lockdown began. No idea if it is officially open, and have no intention of going, but thought I would add info to this thread.

I had typed out a new topic to ask this. But didn't want to get in trouble. So am asking here firstly the question, and also if it would be ok to start this topic.

But does anyone know any half decent restaurants in Newcastle that are open or opening very soon (next week) after the lockdown?

I ask as a bunch I looked at are not open; Nandos, Frankie And Benny's etc and I never was very good at knowing where to eat anyway.

Is there any decent places in Town open again that also will not be heaving if you go in at lunch time?

Anth, have a little think about it, where do you think a topic such as this should be posted.    :dash:

I was in two minds of the NE section or offtopic. The problem is, it is kind of about punting, I am legitimately asking to have a punt there in one, and therefore other NE punters may find it useful to them too (I hope).

And also because the Geordies never go into offtopic so my question won't get answered or even seen by them to answer.

But I am taking the hint that you think off topic would be best place to post this.

FFS Anth, restaurants are in no way punting related. Do you really expect us to believe that you are going to take a prostitute into a restaurant and shag her.

"And also because the Geordies never go into offtopic"  There you go with your generalisations again.

Go on one of the sites that reviews restaurants.

Is that a fact? You do, Davie does, and I do... so you’re talking bollocks there as if it was fact!  :unknown:

is this really punting related or about an upcoming SA date?

It was an over generalisation. A correct way of saying it would be hardly any NEers go into off topic as I know Outsider, Wayne, Sar Major, And Datwabbit and many other frequent NE posters very infrequently go there.

And yes. It is for SA M&Gs. I don't know where to take them. But I am classing SA as technically punting still. Sorry. It was honestly just I didn't know where to take them so hoped NE punters would know.

And that one sentence there is why you are failing at it, don't treat it as punting.  With regards to restaurants, what type of food do you like, have you asked her what she likes, if there is a common theme then try and find somewhere, I am sure you will find a place to suit you both  :hi: :hi: :hi:

This thread is about massage parlours reopening, if you want to discuss anything SA related do it on the relevant SA thread. BTW Anth SA is not punting, this and the review section are for posts to help other PUNTERS, as in those who can go and see the person being talked about.

Massage parlours are open legally now so I don't see why not. To be honest though is there any point in listing them here when they are all back advertising.   :unknown:

Thought you'd say that.   ;) :hi:

To be honest it got pretty stressful being angry for months about people working and punting in lockdown.  I know social distancing is still in force and so escorting in any useful sense remains "banned" but even I can't see the point in being upset about it now.

There was nobody more against punting than me when this first kicked off and the lockdown was in full force but things have changed an awful lot, everything is more relaxed now.

There are only 3 cases of CV-19 being treated in Newcastle hospitals now. Not that I would ever be complacent about it but what are the risks now.  :unknown:

My Boxing school emailed me yesterday saying they are set to reopen on the 25th July from a direct ok from the government to do so. I believe they do wrestling there too (I have never done it though as its on a different night to when I go).

So if you can sweatily grapple someone or punch them, a massage should be ok too?

I think the risks are probably lower now than they were in February or early March before lockdown.  I live alone and I'm working from home too.  That means punting would be a significant increase in risk for me.  If I was in a more risky job where I was facing the public every day, I may well regard punting as no more dangerous than work so I'd be more inclined to resume.

Anyway, this isn't a Covid thread; are you trying to get me in bother with the mods?  :scare:
