Out of curiosity more than anything else, I fired off a few texts to some of my regulars, asking if they had an idea of when they were reopening ( all Indies/ massage spas). Only one replied, saying she started working again on Monday 15th.  I'm not giving names here to avoid problems with regard to breaking lockdown rules, but  at least one is already back.

I think more and more have come back on the 15th to coincide with the non essential shops opening and the slight relaxation of lockdown rules.

The next date to watch is when hairdressers open which is supposed to be July 4th. However anyone who opens is supposed to be Covid safe (in theory anyway) and hairdressers are supposed to take measures.  I guess those measures are them wearing masks though customers should wear masks too. None of these are possible with punting.

In the industry i work in alot of small shops have gone pop. There have been a few cheeky ones who have got nice government grants and then closed the business(lets hope for karma). The ones that stay open will have avoided some outlay but with tax rolled over and the gov will want all this money back its going to be a very tough period for small businesses. I personally think the amount of massage shops will decline over the next 6-12 months. We will more likely see alot more indie massage working from residental, offering crap massage and FS.

The whole lockdown is very confusing now. There's an agenda of opening the economy and we find ourselves questioning the judgement of our leaders. There's a chance there won't be a vaccine. Level lowered and distancing reduced soon. Very few wearing masks.

None of this means things are normal. So we're left having to decide our own normal. I cannot see level 1 happening due to a connected world so normality for me is level 2.
