So an investigation has revealed that 2 million children have done little or no schoolwork during the so called lockdown.
Well blow me down with a feather, another investigation that concludes with the bleedin' obvious. It was a 100% certainty that many kids who don't want to work at school will certainly not do any when they are unsupervised.

Makes me laugh when our idealistic woke warriors label those like me as cynical old bastards.

Wife is a head of school and it's a fucking mission to get kids to sign in and stuff online at allotted times.
Forget asking the parents to make sure the kid is up and in front of his/her laptop.

As a lot of parents have found out or come to realise during this lockdown - maybe it's not the school or teachers fault

It's no surprise. Most parents can't even handle their kids, let alone teach them. Why do you think so many kids are carrying knives and getting up to mischief. It is because of all the pent-up anger they have due to home issues. Schools need to be reopened soon otherwise their education is going to be affected detrimentally.
