Just seen that Nigel Farage is to leave his talk show on LBC radio with "immediate effect", the station confirmed on Thursday. Apparently the leaving date was bought forward.
He'll simply surface somewhere else.
I have to say, GM Britain did do a hatchet job on him in that video.
Morgan tried to stitch him up and he struggled to actually say what he wanted to say because Morgan literally
was putting words in his mouth, despite saying he wasn't.
Farage's basic point was that you don't just go around taking down statues by Mob Rule. I'd agree with that. The Black lawyer/activist woman was constantly butting in with a big smile on her gob, and called him a racist. Morgan was on his case. The whiney Susannah Reid too. And the White historian woman, when asked by Farage if Cromwell's and Churchill's statues should be pulled down too, said there should of course be a national debate. But of course not for Colston. Because apparently he was comparable to Savile

.
This is now the level of 'debate', and everyone is scared not to be seen to jump on board with it.
It's a fucking travesty, and although I'm often suspicious of Farage (and certainly of many who follow him), if you merely shout him down and exclude him, other, far more extreme characters
will pop up, and
will gain mass support.
This will end badly, for
everyone
.
The latest I hear, is that the Colston statue
has been pulled from the river,
will be installed in a museum (where it actually should be) but apparently the dents, holes and grafitti will remain, as well as the cloth or whatever which was draped over it.
So now it has become a purposely-politicised symbol of the oppression of Black slaves, within a museum environment, within the context if it being pulled down by a mob. And immortalised as such.
