On one of the phone ins recently, a woman asked the question:-
'I live in a flat with my mother who is 85. She's stuck in the flat, there's no garden, and she can't walk very far.
When I drive to the supermarket for my weekly shop, can she come in the car with me, just for a change of scenery, and sit in the car while I'm shopping?'
Answer:- (sharp intake of breath) 'Oh no madame.... That's against the rules!
'Rules are for the obedience of fools and the guidance of wise men' ....Douglas Bader.
There's probably more cars on the road because people are so fed up inside four walls, so they want to go for a short drive without getting out of their cars, just for a change of scenery.
Some councils have reopened waste tips, and they've been busy. Queues of cars.
Other councils say no.....unnecessary travel!.....for goodness sake! They're sitting in their cars, then getting out to chuck some stuff in the skips (safe distance).
Surely its just CDF.
