Interesting report if it's true ?

The WHO has reiterated that the coronavirus is believed to be "natural in origin" so this is going to run and run  :D

sounds like whatever the source, they did their best to ensure it didn't affect them as bad as other places, whilst letting people leave the country to spread it around not giving a shit about other countries and then did their level best to destroy any evidence of the clean up, whilst covering up the fact they let it loose by doing so.... very much like the russians effectively killed all hope for the crew of the kursk by denying it had a problem, and refusing help or asking for it.

I don't know why anyone's surprised.  China's a one-party, total-surveillance state, and the Chinese Communist Party is run by a bunch of gangsters.

Nothing they say or do can be trusted. I think the clue is in the word 'communist'.

One small example: the entire country is on one time zone. And yet geographically, it's as wide as the continental USA, which has four tme zones. The CCP will tell you it's all about 'unity'. Balls, of course. It's all about control.

One thing hit me as I read that Telegraph report: it looks like a test run for a global biological warfare attack with a more virulent virus.
If this coronavirus had the toxicity of ebola, the western world would now be dead.
The chinese suppression of internal travel, along with the downplaying of symptoms and refusal to close international transport looks suspicious.
The chinese have just carried out a test for a global war, using their infected population as the weapons

Why were Australia helping them? It's worrying that in the article it says that China didn't have a cure for this or at least couldn't find one.

We don't need to boycott. All governments globally should pass a law to ban child labour in countries like China and then there would be an even playing field on manufacturing goods. Exploiting children is wrong and should be banned.

That's not a very good business plan, they need at least some of us left to buy medication, PPE, testing kits etc, and ultimately, more fridges and TVs when everything settles back down again.

(Albeit in the interim of course, China will have been able to explore all its expansionist fantasies, rid itself of any dissenters or Muslims within its own borders, and ensure its complete global dominance).

I doubt china still has a child labour issue as they have had an oversupply of labour due to lower demand for their chinese shit.

Unfortunately, we'll probably never find a matched sample in their labs to prove it came from there. The biological warfare suggestion is scary but regardless of that, if it came from their labs they obviously can't be trusted regardless of motives.

Yep, dreaded market forces has forced many manufacturers to outsource their products and it's our fault for buying the cheapest  I was trying to find a toaster that wasn't made in China recently

Hence why we have our key 5G infrastructure equipment supplied by a Chinese manufacturer  :unknown: We seriously need to rethink our dependence on other countries - they could shut us down completely if we're dependent on their technology FFS !

Key 5G infrastructure...

Hmmm, I find this concerning.

We're being told that the stuff Huawei are e supplying isn't 'close enough to the core' for anything bad to happen, should the Chinese govt wish it. I do hope we have that right  :unknown:.

As for Huawei maintaining that the Chinese govt have no hold or control over them whatsoever, and that they are a just like any normal large global company being responsibly capitalist, well that is patently bollocks: should conditions be deemed by them to be appropriate, the Chinese govt and Security Services will be all over Huawei like a rash, and they would become an arm of the Chinese govt.

...at least we must assume that as a worst-case scenario, at the very least.

The Australian Daily Telegraph is a tabloid newspaper, part of the Murdoch empire. No doubt their report will be confirmed by other media, and I look forward to reading about it.

I'd of thought it would be impossible to keep Huawei involved in 5G now? We should be sticking with the Five Eyes for our international security :hi:

where it does differ is the length of time that asymptomatic can spread it - which is exactly what you would engineer into a biological weapon designed to attack the general population. If you want to attack an army you would want a more immediate effect.

the only thing is that you would normally want a vaccine before you let it loose; unless of course you dont care too much about deaths in your population and you have a virus which will be more virulent in your opposition.

If China loses a third they still have two billion left to carry on

I agree. But have you wondered where all of the most valuable shit was designed? Not in China. They only offer cheap labour, which isn’t so cheap anymore. It’s pretty obvious that the first world was giving China a leg up from its backward communist existence in the hope their government would willingly evolve and be more open. That’s has failed miserably.

It's more simple than that, pure economics - we want it cheap so companies manufacture cheaply to meet that demand in China or wherever. Been going on for years  :)

That was true a few years ago when China was just making handsets for Apple etc but they learnt from it and the latest Chinese  handsets are a match for anything that Apple or Samsung produce and 20% cheaper

If this was a war strategy, I believe the last thing they would want would be to prepare countries for what to expect. If anything, this makes the possibility of germ warfare less effective as everyone is now prepped and prepared for what to do and what to expect.

If they did have it in the lab, I wouldn't think they meant to let it loose - unless they're mad ! It's no secret they're testing bat viruses and given how contagious this one is it's certainly plausible that it could have infected someone or something. We'll prob never know as they would have destroyed any matching samples anyway  :unknown:

It would fit perfectly as an economic war strategy, after all you dont want to kill your customers but a COVID type epidemic every say 5 years would severely damage a lot of countries ability to compete. Remember that one of the aims of gas warfare in WW1 wasn't to kill but to damage so that the opposition would have to look after the injured

And you get the chance to sell billions of $ worth of PPE

If masks are compulsory who do you think will make most of them ?

Having said all that I dont think it was a deliberate act
