I see this one a lot on this sort of thread in other forums. Some people seem to regard never having watched GoT as some kind of badge of honour. There's multiple series of film franchises, and "top" TV series l haven't got all the way through, but if someone recommends something, I'll give it a go. Quite possibly I'll see the first one (or two) and think "nah, not for me" ("don't fuck with cats" for example) but I wont avoid a series without trying it, let alone make the avoidance some kind of medal.

Remember watching Catweazle as a young kid
(showing my age now) They should repeat them. Always remember him refering to the telephone as the "telling bone" .A reason why a lot of people have never watched Game of thrones is because it was shown on Sky Atlantic. Not everybody has Sky or cable tv. I don't have netflix so there's a lot of good programmes on there I have never seen.

Yes I watched it on Talking Pictures, a channel that has some rare stuff on occasion, I found it complete shit.

Worzel Gummidge with the late great Jon Pertwee was shown 1979 to 1981, I did like McKenzie Crooks version, along with Detectorists he is becoming a good writer in my view.

And I haven't watched Game Of Thrones either.

Incredibly I never watched The Inbetweeners when it was on originally, I thought it sounded like a load of rubbish, in fact I love every moment of every episode and the 2 films.

Incredibly I never watched The Inbetweeners when it was on originally, I thought it sounded like a load of rubbish, in fact I love every moment of every episode and the 2 films.

Ah yes, the Inbetweeners...

I was put onto this by my nephew, over 30yrs my junior. I was instantly transported back to my 16yr-old self and watched the whole lot, back-to-back, in a continual state of helpless tears of laughter  .

First film good, 2nd film perhaps not so.

But overall, an instant classic IMO  .

Yes i think its a masterpiece and right up their with my fave comedies, I agree about the second film its not as good as the first one but I still like it. I do recall my son raving on about it to me at the time, I wasn't interested. Its also a comedy I can watch again and again and not get bored with it.

Same thing happened with Father Ted, I never watched it first time round but did later on.

And also the same with Torchwood, now for me the first 2 series are really excellent, before he starts camping it up all the time. Some very good plot ideas as well. The 3rd and 4th series are total rubbish especially the 4th.

Took me a while before I watched The Inbetweeners but loved it once I did. Will's (fit) mum, Belinda Stewart-Wilson, was very nice in it too. I definitely would!

Never get bored of Father Ted, whenever it's on E4 I always switch over even though I've seen them all a million times.

I have Torchwood on dvd, as I say the first 2 series have some great plots, very well written, then it really gets worse and worse. Apart from on dvd no idea where its available now. The whole premise of it being set in Cardiff is laughable though, but that's where the production was, same with Dr Who or it was then.

That was Jay. A great character in it was Neils dad who the boys apart from Neil thought was a raving homosexual, and Jays dad and his farting while having a dump in the caravan while the boys are having their tea. Jay convinces Simon a girl at caravan club is well up for it, well she seems to be as she fancies Simon so he goes outside with her and they start kissing. He then puts a condom on while she isn't looking, she turns round and sees it saying what are you doing. Turns out she is about 14. Then to cap the episode off Simon drives the lads back home but on the way they all find the car seats are wet, turns out its Neils and the girl he was fingering in the car all nights spunk and pussy juice. Classic laugh out loud comedy.
