Without the grammar lessons and politics, is anyone else actually concerned that they may catch this virus and die?
Point well made. Grammar lessons and politics fade into nothing when the reality of what the world is facing becomes truly real and frightening. I am in a high risk group and when you see groups playing football and a highly paid footballer organising a party for 50 or so in his flat you wonder WTF is happening. I have a friend with asthma and he is being "shielded" but has moved out to reduce his risk and that of his family to infection. Having just seen Boris I am pleased with his approach and the fact that he is not giving in to those who want the lockdown restrictions reduced. I hope everyone here comes through the other side, whenever that is. Yes even Hillingdonpete and my English teacher.
Yes, I was pleased to see Boris back to his usual positive and ebullient self.Yes, we all know he's bluff merchant etc etc, but I can't think of anyone else who could do a better job
BORIS THE BUFFOON.Yes, we all know he's bluff merchant etc etc, but I can't think of anyone else who could do a better job
.Ethelred the unready springs to mind
Fair point TP, one thing does scare me is what would have happen if Corbyn had got in. I cant help but think it would have been a disaster.
He was never going to, this is a non-existent threat.absolutely agree On the other hand, absolute nutjob Dominic Cummings did get in.yes but although I think he's selfish has he had that much involvement, I can't decide
He's not there for his good looks
I guess the fact that he apparently attends the senior Medical/Scientific meetings should confirm his status as far as Boris is concerned
The public's had enough of experts, apparently (though he clearly hasn't).Whilst in the UK we're largely consigned to some pretty tame mudslinging about whether a self-confessed 'weirdo' attends a meeting or not, in Germany (and the US) there's a larger presence of street level fucktardery going on:External Link/Members Only
The scenes coming out of Michigan tonight are mental. People actually brandishing weapons at lawmakers. No doubt some will cite this as an indicator of Trump's being "in touch with the common man" and ability to romp home this November (despite him threatening to 'sue' his own staff for bringing him bad news on the polls).
And if CV19 gets a grip in Michigan, we will know who's fault it is. They really have lost the plot. No government introduces a lockdown unless there are genuine reasons. Goes to show how nuts they are
It winds NRA types up no end to have foreigners criticise its existence, but the 'right to bear arms' was written into the US Constitution at a time when it was a loose collection of ex-colonies with a small (by international standards) national government and army, which faced a very real threat from its former ruler both here and just over the border in what is now Canada. I'm quite sure the founding fathers didn't intend for it to be used against their own government.
Probably not but They still have more recent history of assassinating Presidents 🙄
I think anyone having their temperature checked on the way out might be in trouble.
Many's the time I've left a punt looking and feeling a little 'hot & bothered' .
