Im not going to start posting on a forum about my educational and professional background, but I can assure you, that sleep and diet are the key to a resilient immune system.

I can also assure you, that if he has put any effort into being our prime minister, then both of those factors will have been compromised in his everyday life; and subsequently his immune system is most likely shite. That’s all I was saying.

Yes, we all know that .

But YOU have no idea about the intimate details of Boris's personal life, or do you?  :unknown:

Just by following him on Twitter I can tell he was sleeping for around 5 hours a night, probably less.

That enough ‘evidence’ for you?

Point is he isn’t exactly the healthiest specimen in the world that’s why he ended up in ICU!

Doesn’t take a genius, sheesh!

You simply can't make broad, sweeping generlisations on someone else's health, based on their Twitter feed.

Or perhaps you can?

Your opinion then.

Of course, all medical experts follow Twitter and base their diagnosis on that !

Anyway, couldn’t care less, sun is shining and beers are flowing.

Just as an FYI - a lot of studies, both observational and interventional, have proved a positive correlation between high BMI and a weakened immune system.

Furthermore, obesity has specifically been proven to increase ones risk of contracting (and dying from) respiratory tract infections. Just like Cov...... nevermind! 😅

All the contributory factors are well known, but you simply cannot know about individuals, some people have an iron constitution for no apparent reason, others are always ill despite 'doing the right thing'. So making sweeping statements about someone's health is not a good idea.

Anyway, I hope you're doing the right thing by enjoying the beers and sun in your back garden, enjoy  :hi:

Don't ask him, you might not like the answer!  :scare:  :D

Agreed, not a time to make general, sweeping statements; people are also a little touchier than usual. And I guess it is an opinion that Boris Johnson may not actually be the epitome of a healthy individual with a strong immune system.

Indeed, enjoying within the confides of my garden!  I know the rules  ;)

The very fact that BJ ended up in ICU should tell you his innate immune response (1st line of defence) was compromised. This is a good indication that his immune system is not as good as he would have hoped.

People that get the SARS-CoV-2 virus can suffer the usual symptoms (CoVID-19), if any at all, depending on how effective their initial immune response is.

Does it not depend on what natural resilience a person has to different infections, as much as the overall immune system.   :unknown:

Good question.

I would say that someone's "natural resilience" is a good mixture of immunity, past infections/vaccinations, genetics/epigenitics, diet/lifestyle, the amount of sleep they get and everything inbetween. I would say the the sum of all those (possibly synergistically) are what we might go on to call our immune system in general terms.
I'm sure others can give a better definition. Is there a Doc in the house?   :unknown:

I've seen data/stories regarding anyone that's had the BCG jab (TB) are showing better signs of fighting CoVID-19.

Hang on a minute -

Your response supports my contention.

Please challenge what I have said here and what is wrong with it?

Instead of using a pejorative term to try and shut down what I said.

Glad this guy got banned he has always been a slimy tosser who thought he was smarter than everyone else. Good riddance  :hi:
