I apologise for my reference to your disparagement of Boris Johnson - I wrongly attributed to you remarks made by another.
The remainder of my comments are adequately supported by your own postings, and I am sure that in that circumstance your highly commendable (and, of course, fully expected) familiarity with the latin language will convince you that your attribution of an "ad hominem" argument is no longer applicable.
You could try explaining your clear dislike of the BBC if you have a few minutes to spare, and if it at least partly has to do with the over-75s losing their free licence fee then I addressed that earlier (and I can also understand why having something taken away which was recently given, would piss off a lot of people).
As for the ad hominem argument, that has nothing to do with your incorrect assertion that I've been slagging off Boris over Covid-19 (now retracted by you, thank you), it has everything to do with you flinging a load of mud at me because you apparently don't like me/my values/whatever else. There was no detail, it was simply a load of mud-flinging. It may also be to do with an ill-judged comment I made a few weeks ago where I hadn't noticed you posted about lost family members during WW2. I was mortified and apologised profusely, both openly on here and by PM. You were very reluctant to accept that apology, so perhaps you just think I'm a dick? That's fair enough.
But perhaps don't just post mud-flinging drivel where you misrepresent what I've said.
I am always up for a bit of debate though, as you hopefully have noticed.
[PS I'm not a Latin scholar and wouldn't pretend to be, but pretty well anyone knows what ad hominem means, and it was clearly evident in your post]
