I have noticed over the past few years, that soon after Christmas /New Year break, the ranks of the S.P's are usuallly supplemented by an influx of casuals and enthusiastic amateurs , no doubt seeking to pay off the post festive credit card bills etc.
Normally they last a couple of months, then disappear off the scene, no doubt when solvent again. Sometime they re-appear later in the year, perhaps the kid's birthday time etc.
They will normally pitch at the usual rate , then realise that there is plenty of competiton, and gradually the price creeps down , with "special offers" until they have achieved their target.
This year this does not seem to be the case.
Having perused the A.W. pages for some of East Anglia, where I tend to frequent, these newbies seem to be a virtually non-existent . Is the economy in such a good state , or are there other factors?
Anybody else noticed this trend?
