In the Tinder world and also from what I've been told by friends who've dated them, there's some weird cachet among a certain type of student towards being a "sex worker".  On Tinder profiles a sure bet is any mention of radfem coupled with a dislike of SWERFs.  Of course, you'd not see these women either paid or unpaid, they're not particularly attractive.

As the majority of clients aren't like the one shown on Louis Theroux recently (25, rich, well endowed) then the others just limit themselves to "camming".  I've also known two dominatrixes outside the punting world (one just socially and the other as fb), neither provided penetrative services, just pain and humiliation.  I remember the one I wasn't involved with (who later on did surface on AW) posting on her blog that one of her clients got a huge erection and while she was desperate to do something with it she couldn't as it would transgress her service boundaries.

Some women seem to be shifting to, or starting out by, just doing camming or selling content on e.g. Only Fans. Not sure whether it's because they're worried about the safety of physical meets, or just find logistics difficult re. hotels etc., or just CBA.
