I thought that I'd revisit this topic with my experiences.
I first joined Seeking about 18 months ago and I found it really hard work compared to punting. Once I got my head around the fact that it's much more like paid-for dating then it made more sense. In conclusion, it's hard work and can be very time consuming (just like real dating) but, as others have said, there are certainly a few gems out there if you're prepared to put in the graft and back it with a little money.
