For the same of peace of mind, if anybody wants to have sexual health check up, what's the best way? Go to GP or use a private check up center.

Private center wouldn't keep records or send to GP but would cost a lot. What's your opinion?

Go to your local clap clinic or, as they probably call them now, 'Sexual Wellbeing Clinic'.

Unless something has changed within the last 5 weeks, which I don't believe it has, the Sandyford hasn't had a walk in service for over 2/3 years approx (unless 17yo or under)...

You have to phone to make an appointment, and depending what it's for will determine how long you wait.... Once there they will give you a form to fill in where you can tick Yes or No boxes in relation to which method you want contacted by, and also if you want your GP notified, or not, that you are/have attended the Sandyford...

I'm usually in and out in the space of 30/40 mins max, especially if I go to "test only clinic"...  :hi:

I visited Sandyford and they told me that they don't do walk in's anymore. They are fully booked till end January and asked me to book appointment for Feb 2020.

Don't want to wait that long  :dash:

That would be about right if they feel it's nothing that warrants seeing you any sooner...

If you regularly attend (every 12 weeks) it's always best to book your next appointment on the way out the door... Saves phoning and waiting in a queue, and more or less guarantees you'll get booked in 12 weeks in advance from your last appointment...

Some charity places near me run clinics, Alcohol and Drugs action, that's the way I go. Don't have to go near my doctors and give them my punting name and number. Sorted. Best of both worlds, free and discreet.  :yahoo:

There's a few online services that'll mail you a test tube for your piss.  Needs to be first piss of the day.  Post it back, login online and check results.

You can get an immediate result HIV test at certain chemists (via online).  Costs about £130 and it's just a tiny pin prick, results in 1 minute.

Yeah, thought about that bit didn't want a test kit showing up at my door  :D

That is an issue.  Find a friend who can receive the test tube for you.

Order through Superdrug online and you can get it delivered to any post office you want. Just turn up with I.D and that’s it. Post away the same day and they email the results. No parcels to the door
