Best city in Germany for punting?

Hi Guys,

Been having a read through everything and still can’t make my mind up where the best place to visit for 2 or 3 days punting would be. I’m an experienced punter but new to the German scene.

Would pretty much like somewhere where most punting things are in one area so I dont have to navigate to different parts of town trying to find places. Would also be nice it there were a few tourist sites to spend a couple of half days having a mooch.

Flights wise Dusseldorf would probably be the easiest for me but am open to other places. Any suggestions for which would be the best city me? Would Dusseldorf fit what I want? Thanks in advance

Duisberg and Cologne also seem close to Dusseldorf.....

Frankfurt and Darmstadt.

If you're flying into Dusseldorf you can get the train down to Cologne for some variation - only takes 30 minutes and there's probably more tourist stuff in Cologne if you like that as something to do in the daytime.

Punting is good there - I went to FKK Samya last month and really enjoyed it.

Yes NRW is a good location for punting, decent transport network, even better if you have a car, and has various types of punting, saunaclubs, laufhaus, private apartments and sex parties.

Berlin and Frankfurt also good, Hamburg is ok but has been damaged by years of stag do's.
