Hello I have posted this on UKE but no one there is taking it seriously and think I am making it up.
This is a warning for fellow punters and escorts to show more caution during punts, I still can't believe this happened to me today as I have never had any problems before. Right so to start off with I arranged a booking with an escort I haven't see before but have communicated with for a while and decided to meet today, agreed a time etc, it was in Birmingham. I park up in carpark, wait in my car then she gives me the room number after waiting a while. However at this stage it is unclear as to where exactly it is, I just assume the road I am parked on it is one of them, so I enter this building which is a main reception and the woman receptionist see's me walking and asks can I help you and I just say I'm just seeing a friend and walk past, eventually I find the area the room should be and dial the number on the intercom, someone answers but it is a guys voice and I'm like ohh okay sorry must have the wrong number, I then walk back out and the receptionist again asked if everything was alright and I said yes so walked out, texting the girl and asked if the room is on what the name of the place was and she said no it's the road just opposite and gave me the name and details.

I was like *Sigh* would have helped if you mentioned that at the start but anyways arrived and had the punt, it all went fine, but then when walking out of the building I see a few guys and they stop me, I'm thinking ohhh dear are these guys pimps or some other dodgy guys, they are dressed kind of scruffy track suit bottoms, but they both hold up some ID indicating they are police, they start asking me a few questions like where did I go, who was I seeing etc, I was saying just a friend from work etc, then they knew I was looking nervous and lying and actually put handcuffs on me! started to search me then started asking questions like what my name is, date of birth, where I work etc, also took the items out of my jeans pocket and checked a few of my cards, they said there have been reports of me walking into some buildings and then walking out and into another it looked suspicious etc as someone thought I was stealing, they then could tell that I had seen an escort and admitted it as I was just desperate to get out of this situation. They were then checking to make sure the details I gave them matched up. They were then saying escorting is illegal, I was then like no prostitution is illegal, escorts are different people, prostitutes operate on the streets and that is illegal but they were saying no you're buying sex so it is illegal, I also unfortunately had no option but to give them the room number, they eventually let me go, I'm not sure what this will mean for me going forward, if I apply for other jobs for example and the organisations do a background check is this going to have a huge effect on me getting jobs? I also have no idea if the escort has gotten into trouble too! I feel really bad if that is the case.

If anyone does want more details pm me

Offline Londonpunter30

Why would they handcuff you in the street ? If they didn’t caution you it won’t show up on a criminal background check

Offline Beamer

Report writing obviously not your skill.
As regards the content, I am in a quandary as to what it is.
I am not sure.
Did it really happen to you, or is it a load of BLX?

Offline InMefan

Why would I make it up for? considering I am reliable punter on here I have no reason whatsoever to make things up. I can assure you this is 100% true.

So what is the AW url of the girl you were going to see who is really an undercover copper? Why would you withhold that given what she has done. Sod her.

Why did they put handkuffs on you. The only two reasons I can think of off the top of my head was the girl is either trafficked or underage. Which of the two was it?

Or failing that, did you not mention you were curb crawling a red light district?

Hello I have posted this on UKE but no one there is taking it seriously and think I am making it up.

The reason that people might be thinking you have made it up is because prostitution (i.e. paying for sex) is legal, so you should not come to the attention of the police as long as criminal activities related to prostitution (such as trafficking, soliciting, underage sex, etc) is not suspected.

I can message you her adultwork profile if you want. She is 23 so not underage, I don't know why they put handcuffs on me.

I would rather you posted it on the open forum to warn other punters and to potentially get her blacklisted. What she is doing is totally wrong. Prostitution is totally legal and thus should not be doing this to innocent men.

[T]hen... they... actually put handcuffs on me!

IF this happened then you should have been told by the police what crime they believe you have committed.

What crime did they say they suspected you had committed?

Read this. Do you know what a police I.D looks like? Fake police? Anyone can buy handcuffs on the internet. Did you see what car they were in? Reg number? Could be rivals of the escort you visited? Taking trade from girls they control?

You need to check this out at your local nik

They initially thought I was involved in stealing something due to the apparent "suspicious behaviour" they initially could tell I was lying about where I went and said they were going to search me, still really don't know why they decided to cuff me.

I didn't see any cars unfortunately, they were just like waiting 15 yards or so outside the property.

Either this is bollocks or InMeFan hasn't explained it properly/fully.

Prostitution/escorting is NOT illegal per se. Running a brothel is, and so is trafficking. But this girl appears to be British.

As for being cuffed, that's generally when either being arrested, or being asked to go to the local nick and then resisting.

What you need to do is take a deep breath & try to relax
A few simple steps:

- first tell your mum
- resign from your job & try & get some holiday pay
- leave the country on an extended trip
- when returning, if passport control let you in, change your name

Finally give up punting & pick a safer sport / hobby

You don't need to thank me

It might be a good idea to get the right address next time.

You cannot go round wandering into buildings and for people to not get suspicious.

As for the handcuffing, well, its not unnormal, it's mainly to protect themselves. Once they know your not a threat and are happy with the story they let you go.
Don't read to much into it.

Perhaps the receptionist noticed he had a boner and was somewhat alarmed?  :scare:  :D

If this is true, You must have looked suspicious to the receptionist in the wrong building you entered.
She probably called the police and told them someone is acting suspicious and you were now in the other building.
Unfortunately, the idiot cops, (massaging their egos and pretending to be righteous), will tell you what the law is regardless of whether they are correct or not. If you wasn't arrested, taken to the nick, finger-printed and DNA swabbed, I wouldn't worry too much about it.

Well of course not, after they remove all the bollocks to make the eunuchs they have loads of bollocks left over.

Simple logic really?

Offline justdesserts

Your story does have a ring of truth to it. It would make sense that someone in the other building phoned the police as they had seen you wandering about and you didn't give a very plausable reason for being there. (Don't think this had anything at all to do with the escort you saw).
The police can and do handcuff people in order to conduct a search on them (they are allowed to use reasonable force and handcuffing to prevent escape etc falls within this).
I can also believe the conversation as lots of people (police included) do not realise that paying for sex is totally legal.
I would say you've got nothing to worry about. You've done absolutely nothing wrong and there's no way anything would come up on any sort of checks, enhanced or otherwise. For that to happen you would have to be arrested and taken to the police station.
Just put it down to experience - and be more careful in future!

I would question whether this really was the Police. Partly because the Police are just far too busy to visit some-where on a mere suspicious behaviour. Maybe if there had been lots of break-ins in that area, or the receptionist was the friend of a Police officer. But around my way they don't come unless there is a crime going on that you can see happening.

The fact that they hand-cuffed you and they thought prostitution was illegal does not surprise me at all. Lucky you weren't tazered. 4 coppers tazered a 7 stone woman for arguing with the Sainsbury's staff... I been told prostitution is illegal by the Police, and of course it is not. But most activity sounding it is. That you were 'looking' for it, may have meant you broke a law! lol.

Dont worry about the incident, it wont even be recorded any-where. Unless they weren't the Police, in which case they are going to be black-mailing you.

P.S. Next time tell them your met a girl from a dating site, and she was a married woman, so you wont say who she was. :P

Offline Charlie Chalk

Who called the rozzers? The receptionist in building 1? If so, the how did they know to wait for you in building 2 when it was on a different street and therefore she couldn’t have seen you go in there? Also, the police don’t have the manpower to send a group round to hang around random buildings on the off-chance they might pick up someone who was acting suspiciously elsewhere earlier.

As for “they then could tell I had seen an escort” - are they telepathic? How the hell could they deduce that?

Finally, as an allegedly experienced punter you should know the basics regarding the law and paid sex, and that it is not illegal simply to pay for sex. If it was, then most dating would be illegal if you paid for dinner!

So no, I think this is a load of rubbish.

Offline cotton

So are you saying the escort the escort initially only gave you a rough location and room number so rather than confirming the correct address you went wandering into a nearby building shrugging off receptions queries what the fuck your doing in their building ?
Not having the right address initially and wandering round in suspicious fashion seems to be the root cause of your problems.
In future try and get the correct address of where to go to , sounds like the police had you down as a wrongun and were just checking you out in their usual cowboy fashion.

I don't know why they put handcuffs on me.

I'm pretty sure you do. Handcuffing a member of the public outside of arrest, is not something they do lightly for fear of it coming back to bite them 'procedurally'. On the subject of procedure they will have told you why they cuffed you and it would have been entered in the search report which you should have been asked did you want a copy of? Did you decline a copy?

:hi:  Not to sure if its a Jackanory or what my 2 penth worth.... :drinks:

Been in a Soho walk up when Old bill / Border control people knocked ..the maid answaered the door then knocked on the room we were in the Maid spoke with the Police Officer who I could hear as I quick as Superman put my clothes back on he was polite and calm they asked to see the WG`s Passport which was quickly returned I remained i room they did not ask my name address or anything ( I supose one rare tie Average Old White Bloke look came in handy) they left ...The maid commented they have no problems with police she knew they have a job to do re traffic but I was a bit stired up by it .. Other time I was stopped by a bloke in the garage under the flats in Northwood hills as a raid was going on He told me it was all "kicking off with screams and shouts" there had been a few Russian type girls ther maybe thir papers were not right to be here is all I can think....as I type this I just remembered I did get pulled over by the police in an unmarked car after going to a "house" they checked my car details by radio and I gave name and adress ..thing was I turned up and was turned away as she`d double booked ( a Daily Sport add )and the reason the police stopped me " Been reports of people hagning about and breakin`s Sir"

So may be a true one but hand cuffs???   Ive been punting  40 `odd years now  :scare: and really only had a few brushes with law when punting and those have all been fine :hi:

Whst did the SP say when you told her? If these 'cops' were lying in wait and 'knew' anyone who walked in and out the building was sent the wrong address, it sounds like a set up and she must have known about it.  Either because of her no shows that day or because she was in on the scam.  I cant imagine the police turning up quickly if reported by the receptionist.  Firstly, what is she reporting? 'A dodgy looking guy has walked in and out?' Secondly, they take days to appear after a real crime has been committed.  Police may set up a sting operation but you think they would have bigger fish to fry.

It sounds like those were cops were fake and the SP was perhaps in on it.

I'm pretty sure they will be real cops responding to a call from the receptionist who probably watched him enter the other building. It is always a lottery with the police and if someone is available at any given time they will respond to calls where a crime may be underway.

The problem is he calls them 'undercover' cops which immediately conjures up all sorts of scenarios. The reality is they would likely have been a plain clothes unit on patrol, which is common especially in large towns and cities.

As I said in my previous post his report to us of this incident is probably not entirely truthful. If they were real cops they will have followed the correct procedure and there will be a report. If he was cuffed without arrest he will have been seen as a threat.

Not sure why he wants to make us aware? He behaved suspiciously. He was reported. The Police spotted and questioned him. He reacted badly and was cuffed. The search found nothing suspicious and his ID checked out. He was sent on his way.
