I have no way of knowing for sure but I believe it.

Some brothels offer a 15/20 minute service for as little as £35, of which the girl may only keep £20-£25. Some prostitutes in London charge £60 p/h.

I wouldn't be surprised if there are prostitutes on the streets who are charging less, they are presumably quite desperate and they'll presumably spend less time with the customer. (?)
