I had loads of fun on POF a few years back but when I went back on this year it was utterly dire.

Paid Tinder and Bumble this year and enjoyed a mixed bag, including the biggest Chinese chebs I've ever seen and all for free too. Your post, though long lol, echoes others in that you pop in from time to time but have little success. Said it before, it will rarely work that way with the AW mindset of fancy a punt and giving it a go.

A lot of the time wasters actually are not, of course there are some, but most are there with purpose or reason, they are just a lot more selective than anyone on AW.
You read on reviews of punters not getting the connection or engagement they wanted, on CL you have to have that before you get to meet unless you bump into the pros who use it too. It takes some charm and effort on your part, but crack it and AW has little appeal.

Thanks for the info mate.  Id always figured people were replying to ads with all this talk about code but that makes more sense placing your own adverts.  I dont live near a university but still might be useful for getting hold of normal girls. Thanks

Not had your variety either, and would probably stand out a bit too much to go to Uni dorms, I can host so that helps, I only really tried in earnest during lockdown 1, had a few meets previously from there but sporadic, maybe there is more fun to be had not hosting lol, the outdoor and coffee shop things appeal. Reading things like this, possibly like other things, punters got into the habit of online content purchasing and lots made money from that during the pandemic, which reduced numbers of those willing to meet along with Covid concerns.

That's scary as shit, a woman, supposedly trying to do things without the knowledge of those around her telling a complete stranger where she lives and that she's game on for sex.  I don't ask any woman where she lives but if arranging meets I might ask if she has far to travel in order to understand possible reasons for delays and how that might impact how long we can spend together before a "safe" journey back.  I wouldn't expect any journey to be that difficult within the Greater London region but if she is somewhere bizarrely isolated then I'd travel to a meet point nearer her and rent a room near there if we get into things.
I suppose eliminating her need to travel may put her on the spot about meeting and give less opportunity for flaking.  And I suppose it eliminates those who were otherwise intending to take your money and run. 
If you're offering to meet at your place then perhaps that disarms those who are genuine about possibly meeting but it doesn't protect you from those who might be looking to rob you, with or without accomplices.

I have not looked for 6 weeks or so, got a good pool keeping me happy, the school/college/uni holidays make things slower.
