Totally agree with this, the sex has slipped such a lot but why be with her? Many reasons, too many to discuss on here, i just tend to want to sort the sex bit out in my head, everything else in my life is what i want, relationships are that, not just sex

That is a hell of a good point you make there. I wonder if anyone has ever tried to link a reduction in divorce rates to an increase in the use of prossies. Impossible to get the data of course, but that would be one for the anti's to mull over. Prostitution is good for family life.

Initially at least love isnt all about what it costs though of course. For me my life would be empty without having a child and loving and being loved, punting provides just one thing to me, sex with a variety of WGs that its unlikely i would be able to pull and i certainly wouldnt get in their knickers as quickly. Everything else i get from a relationship and what stems from a relationship.

It does for a while, but it becomes less and then disappears altogether in most cases. It's something you learn as you get older. I used to hear the jokes and think it wouldn't happen to me, but it did. Not only that but it seems to be the norm. I'm on good conversational terms with several women of middle age and they are all quite definite that they are no longer interested in sex with their partners, and don't see why they should be doing it if they don't want to. That is something that I never realised when I was young, and I think that is true of most guys. We get fooled into believing that women are just as interested in sex as we are. If there are any that are, it really doesn't last long. It's a fallacy. Prostitutes understand that very well and take full advantage.

I think it's because they don't have a factory down below nagging at them all the time to find somewhere to place its output - to put it bluntly. They don't have a need for it in the same way, and when they get to middle age any interest they did have melts away. They can't be arsed.

Not all of them, any more than it does for men. Many of them don't seem to care any more.

Yes (for me). The concept of being married to someone for 40 years seems alien enough to me and the thought that sex can still be interesting with someone beyond 5 years even more so. I guess women feel the same, but I think they are much more attuned to creating a stable family background/home etc. once married. And once their menopause kicks in, that really is probably end of game. My thoughts only.

bloody hard work to keep the passion alive with someone you've been with for years not to mention life stresses - kids, finances, work getting in the way, i genuinely think a little extra-curricular fun so long as you're careful can keep a relationship going beyond the point it would otherwise last and like others have said already on this thread, seeking sex elsewhere doesn't equate to you no longer loving your other half i still love mine to bits and the kids even more so

Interesting argument. Still difficult where kids are involved I say (in fact you may be perceived as more of a heartless bastard if you simply walked away, rather than having justifiable grounds), but holistically, I would certainly be in favour of more liberal arrangements than those we are currently wedded (sorry) to.
