Tontober - thing of the past?

I’m back down in Manchester in a couple of weeks for work and was wondering if anyone has seen any Girls advertising reduce Tontober rates? I know a couple of years ago there were loads of offers on with girls competing to get in as much cash as possible for their Xmas shopping, and punters having less cash to burn than normal on the build up to Santa, but not seeing anything this year.

I know the price of punting has gradually crept up over the last couple of years but was wondering if this is still a thing in the NW as it’s almost gone from the Scottish scene... £130 pretty much the norm for an hour these days

With out meaning to undermine the keeper of the cage, Tontober was about choosing to punt with those who are £100 or less.  The dropping rates thing came later.  Overall it is, of course, about lowering rates, but it is about punters not escorts.

If during all of October escorts who charged lower had a great month, and crazy rates escorts had a dusty phone, maybe we help keep rates low during Nov and dec too.

Cueball your call but maybe we make it a value month but set the threshold up a bit?  I think if we all went for those who are, say, £120 or less for the whole month, it might help keep price down.  If the target is so low that no punter can make the commitment, then it has less impact.

If £120 is your limit, don't see girls who ask for more. It works for me and I have a few regulars who even give me a discount on that price.

We just need everyone to agree on a permanent maximum. If the expensive girls don't get any business, they'll have to drop their prices. When they drop their prices, the average girls will have to drop too to stay competitive.

It's as simple as that and needs an all year round commitment.

I don't think it's laughable, but I know we aren't the majority so it may not make huge difference. 

The key thing is to stop seeing girls when their prices go up - especially if you're a regular and they won't honour the old price.  That way they know it's the price that stops you, if nothing else they may do you a deal.

We might be 5% of punters, but 15% of punts.  Who knows? What ever - no one want to lose business.   Or think they might lose business. Tontober had an impact across Adult work the last few years, for certain. 

I still think a one month focus is enough.  I have a few regulars that I gladly pay more to meet (woof woof), so I would commit to the £120 pledge for October, but not forever...

Offertober is good as a sub name perhaps - since it makes it clear that the main purpose is not that - it is for punters to act.  Like giving up booze we need to give up high priced escorts - for at least a month.

Surprised to receive  £90 offers on my AW reverse booking request from 3 girls whose usual rate is £150 an hour.  I actually had only 7 responses in total, none of which I fancied.  Just thought I would test the water, at what is possibly a low rate.  ( North of England area) I was surprised to see such a drop in pricing, maybe it’s slow at the moment. I mentioned med Tontober on UKE not so long ago. I got a bit of grief tbh and not a single girl said they were up for it.

I’ve read up on this Tontober and have heard it many times over on UKE as I’ve been there much longer than here. The thread about it on the forum before it was revamped quite a few stated they stopped doing it as they got people pressing for more discount and boundary pushers I remember Midori saying as such and a couple others saying similar to that.

It seems to be less popular now and it seems that escorts who choose to do it are only doing it for one day and exclusive to certain forum members rather than for a whole month and putting it on AW.

For me personally I just book who I want when I feel like it rather than on a specific month. Still good for those who do though.

I have an upper limit, probably higher than some punters and lower than some punters. I usually stick to it, sometimes I go over it. If I deem someone not worth the money they’re asking for I move on, simple.

I'll happily pay my upper limit if the WG is the correct size, age etc, offers the services I want and is well reviewed.

I'll pay more for speclist services.

For the most part I find myself making compromises in which case out of principle I won't pay my upper limit.
