I would imagine a lot of punters have been to BSS but since this is my first review I feel I should review the facilities as well as the WG for anyone who may not have been to BSS.
The facilities are good and fairly standard all rooms other than the toilet are on the left of a long narrow corridor, locker room first, sauna and then the lounge. Opposite the lounge the stair case to the rooms, there is an offer of coffee, water and orange juice a tv and music playing in the lounge.
It is in good condition and very clean. It was welcoming and the guy on the door was sound. On arrival i was advised that there were 3 WGs on and was told who was available and who wasn't and also how long it would be before they were available.
Only 1 shower is working atm but this didn't create any issues for me and I wasn't left waiting at all so I won't mark them down on that. Lounge is small compared to say LSS but it's away from the main door which I like to be honest. It feels a bit surreal when someone walks in the door at LSS and I'm sitting in my towel. The room I was taken to by my chosen WG was small but comfortable, in good clean condition and was decked with mirrors. Some music playing and an air con unit above the bed (bottom end) there was also a shower in the room as well.
No steam room but the sauna was perfect and is the old style sauna with water and stones. Altogether I would say BSS facilities are a solid 9/10. I would say they are better than NTS but don't feel as luxurious as LSS however that is not a mark down as I feel the WG service at BSS makes up for that. I've never been to any of the others in Edinburgh. If anybody has any suggestions outwith those 3 I would appreciate it.
My experience;
So I paid my entry fee and was handed a towel and a locker key, changed and headed for a shower. BSS don't give you a wallet or bag so best take something to carry your money in if you're like me I use an old wallet with no ID.
After my shower I still had 20 minutes to wait for the first girl to be available so I went for sauna. Ended up lying down for about 30 mins just chillin, another shower, into the lounge and Roxanna had become available. I didn't even chat tbh I just asked if she wanted to go down stairs as I was attracted to her instantly.
