Author Topic: Deposits to confirm booking?  (Read 4110 times)

Hi guys. I've noticed couple of ads recently that looked great. Genuine LOOKING ads with genuine pics so contacted the ladies with few basic questions by email. However, they emailed replies saying all was fine, but because of time wasters they required a deposit of £20.

My radar buzzed...do these have scam written all over?

Avoid, very likely to be scams, punting is a pay on the day in front of the WG pastime and has been for all my over 30 years of doing it.

Deposits may not only be a scam, but to me are an indication that the WG is less than professional as they should have the skills and experience to filter the TW out. Or they should at least accept that TW are part of their very well paid job, which should not include affecting the next punter due to previous experience of previous ones. To me in many ways it is the same as the no men of a certain race statement it stinks of being lazy and unprofessional.

I've never paid a deposit. It's insecure, not anonymous and how would you get your cash back if they had to cancel? A wire transfer marked "WHORE REFUND"? Fuck that!

The only time I would consider a deposit would be for a heavily reviewed pro$$ie where trusted punters have paid a deposit and had a good experience. I've punted pornstars and WGs with hundreds of positive reviews and not a single one of them have required cash up front.

Stinks of a scam

I kind of agree with this as I have heard of a well reviewed and respected WG who does ask for a deposit if a punter has cancelled on her on two or more occasions. She never asks for a deposit, the first or second time but if a punter cancels with her on more than one occasion she does then ask for a deposit, I don't know how the practicalities work, I would assume AW vouchers. However she never asks for a deposit the first or second time a punter makes a booking.

Ok, as I thought guys. For a bit of fun exchanged a couple polite emails with 'her'.
I asked for a quick 'selfy' of herself for goodwill, nothing saucy...never saw or received a tel no of course...but she replied...'Book an easier girl Hun...thanks for your interest tho'.

Shame...cos profile is right up my street..the ol fella was seriously seriously twitching.
The only thing on the ad that didn't seem right, was stated ht was 5' 5''...but pics look taller to me.
Obviously no feedback or number also.

I would and see what happens,  it seems her mo is not to engage with the punter at all,  all she has to do to make money is get a deposit one out of fifty times and it is a good living for doing nothing.

I was talking about the "the authenticity of this profile" warning across the top of the page  :dash:

Ah, right. I see. Is that banner a report from a punter then? I assumed it was standard on new adverts.

That banner always shows on new profiles now unless they have verified AW automatically delete the profile now unless they verify within a certain number of days. Doesn't stop them starting a new one though.

In that case I apologise Nipper, thought that came up when a profile had been reported

Don't know what the point of reporting to AW is anyway, they won't do anything worthwhile

A/W do delete some profiles that are reported to them, of course they keep any credits accrued so no skin off their backs to delete if they feel like it.

I have reported a lot of profiles to AW, some they delete, some they leave up. There does not seem to be any logic behind their actions. Still worth trying imo, might just save one bloke from having a bad punt.  :unknown:

So she wanted a £20 deposit, for a Incall or Outcall? does sound wrong, and brand new profile.

Anyone who pays a deposit is as daft as anyone who books an overnighter with someone they've never seen before.

I always leave a deposit during a successful booking.

Not necessarily but some simple advice. Never put down any deposit. Ever.

Offline wristjob

Give them your "deposit" at the end of the punt :)

I figure it's not hard to grab some pics from somewhere, set up a fake profile and see how much you can blag. As much as you want them to be real they likely aren't. If she wants the business she wouldn't be making clients jump through hoops.
