Really good point. In that case, £100 for 30 min was adequate pay for at least some of them. But they pushed their rates up to see what they could get away with, and at this point I think they're just taking the piss. One possibility is that they're only getting a couple bookings a day, but at that price, that's all they need to pull in a decent payday.

I don't know what how far the pound goes in Korea, but I did meet a verified Korean at a Chinese place recently, so the £100/hour rate was adequate for her. And she looked like the pampered type, very well taken care of.
