My understanding of the AW business model and I maybe wrong is a basic profile is free with no start up costs and the WG's pay monthly for extras such as displaying a phone numbe, featured escort that sort of thing. Then they pay AW 30% commission all all revenue generated by PG and gallery sales. The vast majority of the money is from punters pockets.

Oh right...didn't realise a basic profile was free but that would explain why it's so attractive for the scammers to keep making new ones.

Bottom line is, money that goes into adultwork is from punters' pockets. Why isn't it punters' interests and convenience that are considered? This new measure is not for punters'' sake. Just like the failure to remove clear scams, fakes, etc. it seems their greed leads them to implement measures that are not friendly to the people whose money becomes their profit. If you are logged in to aw, why should you not be able to see explicit content? Are we saying kids can go to aw, have an account, look at profiles, read the stuff etc but we draw the line at explicit content? If it's to stop minors from looking, isn't that what the whole net nanny thing is for? Or the adult site block opt out/in through net providers is for? It doesn't make sense other than to increase charges for punters, which will no doubt decrease punting through aw.

The why is because A/W are in business to make money, not help punters. To that end they will try to maximise the money they make off punters and SPs.

As i have posted before i distrust A/W to the extent that i believe they themselves post up some of the PG scam profiles, make some credits off them, then delete the profile/s and post new ones up and on and on. Can i prove it, no. It is very easy for them to do that though, no real regulation srutinizing them means they can do what they want pretty much as long as they dont allow illegal content like kids and animals.

That my understanding of how it works I could be wrong,  you have to admire the AW business model even if they are a bunch of scamming thieving twats.

Posting a profile up on A/W is free, its displaying a phone number that costs and then if the WG has a PG or a punter pays credits for anything to the WG A/W get 30% of the credits when the WG wants to cash them out. Thats if they havent arbitarily decided to keep 100% of the credits for themselves.

Profit is not a dirty word, I will continue to buy private galleries, they have saved me a lot of money over the years.

:drinks: It's a business and not a fucking charity. I think they're a bunch of cunts, but they are clever cunts and are running a very successful business model. You have to hand it to them on how they've cornered the market. I couldn't agree with you more on the private galleries. Saved me a fortune too.

Sure, but my point is, it seems you will have to verify in order to see even private galleries in the future.

Well, we will have to see, not sure what they mean by "verify" anyway, they won't do anything to harm their revenue flow that's for sure.     :hi:

They have zero chance of me sending a copy of my passport.    :bomb:

Well the ROmanians seem to find "Verifying" fake profiles so easy as to make the "Verified" tag worthless  :hi:

They pass on the profiles, surely everyone knows that.    :music:

Well, it is age verification they want form punters in future. Odd stuff, me thinks. I'll just say I remember last time spurs didn't choke...that should prove that I'm old.

Thought the fact I've used a card to buy credits on there for a few years would be enough to verify age but not so it seems.

PG subscriptions can save wasting time and money.

I was assuming the same, but I'm not age verified on there. I just tried to do it, and it isn't completing the purchase on my card through the link on the age verification page, but it's fine with purchasing credit through the normal links as I've just been able to. And I'm still showing as not being age verified. Oh well, I'll try again next time I feel the need to buy credits.

Can't say I am inclined to use my credit card and run the risk of Awork appearing on my account.  Nor have I any plans to register my anonymous punting phone with the network. No worries about family/friends here but just don't like Big Brother knowing what I am about.

Looks like I will have to make do with the public galleries and forsake the private ones.

Big Brother couldn't care less what you are doing, they have more important things to worry about.

Jimmy, you are almost certainly correct but I do suffer the odd bit of paranoia from time to time.  That's just me and why I have a cellar full of baked beans and corned beef tins.  Just in case!!

Youve got the phone number part, then youve got charge for available today.Add the featured page, then service of the day. They do one slot for each of the various services.Unless they buy galleries,it costs punters nothing.
The money from the escorting side is peanuts to them compared to the camming side of the site. All thos cam girls working, with the money going straight to aw to hold until they can cash out leaving them with a nice lump.

Credit.  I could write them and mention this, but their customer service is absolute pants.

I bought credits last week but on the regular link.  I guess next time I'll use the Age Verification page to buy.
