Bottom line is, money that goes into adultwork is from punters' pockets. Why isn't it punters' interests and convenience that are considered? This new measure is not for punters'' sake. Just like the failure to remove clear scams, fakes, etc. it seems their greed leads them to implement measures that are not friendly to the people whose money becomes their profit. If you are logged in to aw, why should you not be able to see explicit content? Are we saying kids can go to aw, have an account, look at profiles, read the stuff etc but we draw the line at explicit content? If it's to stop minors from looking, isn't that what the whole net nanny thing is for? Or the adult site block opt out/in through net providers is for? It doesn't make sense other than to increase charges for punters, which will no doubt decrease punting through aw.
The why is because A/W are in business to make money, not help punters. To that end they will try to maximise the money they make off punters and SPs.
As i have posted before i distrust A/W to the extent that i believe they themselves post up some of the PG scam profiles, make some credits off them, then delete the profile/s and post new ones up and on and on. Can i prove it, no. It is very easy for them to do that though, no real regulation srutinizing them means they can do what they want pretty much as long as they dont allow illegal content like kids and animals.
