Thanks to your messages below, I discovered and signed up for the free membership of Seeking, and I wanted to share my pre-meet experience and see if others have similar.
Shortly after putting up a no picture profile I started to get lots of views, favorites and messages, not just from the North West, but from all over the world. At the same time I am getting lots of advice / sales emails from Seeking, closely followed by emails offering 20% then 25% off the first month. This reminded me of the behavior of other SB sites, where there was also the accusation of the site sending fake views, likes and messages, in a bid to get you to pay for subscription. There were also accusations of profiles that took the scamming further, where on meeting the SB the SD was mugged or bribed.
From Googling the impression I got was that Seeking was not like, or not as bad as, these other SB sites. However, thanks to your posts below I see that scamming can still be an issue on Seeking also.
Looking at the links to scamming SBs and also reputable SBs on here, most tend to be from a while ago, and most are no longer active. Which is understandable for this sort of site as the reputable SBs move on and the scammers move on even quicker.
If members on here are still using Seeking, and before I consider parting with my hard earned for a subscription, I would love to hear your views on:
1) whether you have had similar experiences as above,
2) do you think the subscription will fall further; especially with Black Friday,
3) what are your views on playing it safe, in terms of the site and SBs asking for photos, WhatsApp mobile number, and the risk of scam meets
4) are there any ways of getting more recent reviews of North West SBs that are still active, and
5) if people on here are seeing SBs, what do you think would encourage them to share more recent experiences on here?
Bottom line, do you think it is still worth it, and how best to minimise any risk.
Many thanks in advance.
